OSASUNA in its 2º leg clash to go into the Q/Finals of the 2008-2009
SPANISH CUP. Athletic join FC Barcelona, Sevilla FC, Real Betis,
Sporting de Gijon,Valencia CF, Mallorca & Espanyol which were all
decided yesterday - see below post for details.
The 1ºleg match finished in a 1-1 draw. However, Bilbao won this
toughly fought game with goals from GABILONDO (4th min) &
VELEZ ( 17th min) all in the 1ºhalf. The 2ºhalf saw Osasuna go all
out & came close to scoring, they even missed a penalty in the 64th
min when Portillo failed & that could have changed the match.
