News from the Spanish daily “AS” today reports that the new REAL
MADRID President Boluda has put himself in contact with English
Premier League Club WIGAN. The former desires to examine the possibility
of gaining the services of the Wigan player & winger ANTONIO
VALENCIA. Real look to convince the English Club to loan the player,
with an option of a buy at the end of the season. SFS doubts that Real will
take this last option, as Real will be in Presidential election mode &
thinking in big costly players like Kaka, Ronaldo (a winger) & others.
The Wigan player would have to make an outstanding last 4 months,
& SFS believes that Valencia is seen at this moment as a solution
“band-aid”.
Real Madrid Coach Juande de Ramos has been “screaming” for that
“band-aid” solution for weeks as he considers Valencia the player needed
to strengthen the wing position & is eligible for Champions League
participation.
President Boluda, under some pressure from Coach & technical staff,
wishes to retake the Valencia option before the “Winter Market Transfer”
window shuts on the 31st of January. Stay tuned!
