The Argentine & REAL MADRID forward exploded after his seemlessly
"eternal" stays on the bench with comments: "...my situation is
intolerable". His Coach Juande Ramos replied ( + or - translated)
"...if you wish to play, find yourself a lower level Club". Words that
quiet frankly would sink the spirits of any player.
JAVIER SAVIOLA has been followed by "shadows" since arriving
from Argentine Club River Plate to Spanish Football. The 27 year old
has drifted through many Clubs: FC Barcelona , Sevilla...etc & always
with the same situation, star players already at the Club of arrival
in his natural position. It seemed his destiny is to be the substitute in case
others breakdown. Naturally, without play & game time a Football
player can never reach peak form. The frustration is enough to make
anyone explode, because Saviola has talent & the ability to keep
himself at the top level of World Class players, but if no one gives you
the opportunity little can be done to prove it.
According to English paper "Daily Mail" Saviola will be loaned out
to English Premier League Club PORTSMOUTH. This has been picked
up locally by "AS" who go on to say that the deal could be done within
the next days. The loan would be for the next 6 months & Portsmouth
Coach Tony Adams thinks Saviola will fit in perfectly, thus assuring
beforehand that the Argentine will play on a regular basis.
SFS hope this is true, because the man needs to play Football & the
opportunity to prove to everyone & himself that the past few years have
just been circumstance, & that he can get back to the level that made
him a regular figure in the Argentine National Team.

Hello Striker.
Goodness me, if a player of the like of Saviola is left on the bench, that must tell the current tale of Real Madrid's first XI. I would like him at Liverpool, seeing as we've released Jermaine Pennant on loan to Portsmouth with a view to selling him to someone. We currently have former Espanyol winger Albert Reira, Ryan Babel and Yossi Benayoun. We could release Benayoun (who could also prosper in Spain, I think) and take on Saviola. But a consideration to join Portsmouth on loan? Javier, please, ring up Rafa Benitez and have a world or two!!
