ALBERT RIERA: ANOTHER SPANIARD AT LIVERPOOL FC

LIVERPOOL FC has presented its new signning, Spanish midfielder
ALBERT RIERA from ESPANYOL. It is easy to understand why
the English Club is dearly loved & watched on TV by many Spaniards.
Riera joins other Spaniards that already make up Liverpool, apart from
coach Benitez, such as Torres, Alonso, Reina & Arbeloa.

Albert Riera has "English Football" experience when on loan to
Man City three years ago, but insists that he has bettered

since then & sould not be jugded by his Man City period.

In fact SFS believes that Liverpool has a great player at hand.
Give Riera time to settle in with the Club, Team & City; then

slip him in easily into the games. Once he gets a few under his
belt & he gains confidence he´s going to be a very decisive player.
His big guns are his great arrivals into the goal area & his
outside shot which will surprise many. Lets not forget he is already
a Spanish International & always on the list ( if not now) of the
national selector since a year ago.

SFS wishes Riera all the luck.

Thanks for this summary of Riera. I have had to battle with a number of rival fans mocking Riera for his Man city display, which was of course restricted and he was not happy. then he came to Espanyol and helped them into the UEFA Cup final and scored, narrowly missing out on the trophy via penalties.

We, as in the English more than the British, seem to have a number of sceptical fans who consider their strongest point of discussion to be on known players like Christiano Ronaldo, Torres, Fabregas, Deco and the like. When you speak about players like Carzola, Riera, Tamudo, Kahveci (Nihat), they wouldnt have a clue because they are glued to household or thoroughly mentioned names.

Once Riera is mentioned, the idiotic lot, which include some LFC fans, simply remember his city days and lambast his potential and I'm telling them he is a different player with a different outlook than then. Your summary of him backed me up. I'm not saying I expect him to set the EPL alight (would be very nice) but until he comes out in a LFC shirt my judgement is reserved and I have some optimism about his presence.

I am sure he will be a positive element to LFC. Once he does well, his critics will disappear, they all do.
