U/19 EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS 2008: SPAIN ELIMINATED

Two time consecutive European U/19 Champions SPAIN have
been eliminated from this years tournament after losing 0-1 to
HUNGARY. Spain needed to win their Group A match today after

losing after Germany 1-0 in the group opener.

Hungary took it´s chances after the Spanish defence made a series of
mistakes that allowed NAGY to score in the 70th min. Spain had a
chance to draw via Emilio, but he failed infront of the goalkeeper.

End of the road for Spain, they were not up to the standard of

previous Spanish squads & the needed playing level
