SPAIN ANNOUNCES ITS 23 PLAYERS FOR EURO 2008

Coach Luis Aragones handed in his list of 23 players that will make
up the SPANISH NATIONAL TEAM for the EURO 2008 tournament

that begins next month in Switzerland/Austria.
As expected the Real Madrid Captain RAUL was not called up & young

Bojan from FC Barcelona, auto-excluded himself due to tiredness. The
novelties are the inclusion of SERGIO GARCIA ( Real Zaragoza) &
SANTIAGO CAZORLA (Villareal), along with FERNANDO
NAVARRO (Real MAllorca)

ARSENAL: Cesc
BARCELONA: Puyol, Iniesta & Xavi
BETIS: Juanito
GETAFE: De la Red
LIVERPOOL: Arbeloa, Reina, Torres & Xabi Alonso
REAL MADRID: Casillas & Sergio Ramos
MALLORCA: Fernando Navarro y Güiza
SEVILLA: Palop
VALENCIA: Albiol, Marchena, Silva & Villa
VILLARREAL: Capdevila, Cazorla & Senna
ZARAGOZA: Sergio García

Players will get concentrated on the 26th of May & begining with warm up

games against Peru on the 31st of May & USA on the 4th of June. From

here they travel to Austria were they start their group games in the
following order & dates:
10th June - Russia ( Innsbruck)

14th June - Sweden (Innsbruck)

18th June - Greece (Salzburg)
