with German giants BAYERN MUNICH 1-1 in the 1ºleg of the
UEFA CUP Q/Finals.
Getafe had an awesome task beforehand, away & in front of the home
crowd, & were clear underdogs in front of such a team full of stars, but
Getafe are in the Q/Finals for logical & correct reasons & they proved
that to everyone tonight.
Bayern Munich scored first thanks to its Italian striker TONI (above)
in the 25th min, but it was then that Getafe rolled up its sleeves
& went to work.
Bayern were clearly the stronger side, but Getafe did not bend at
all for one moment, showing its face & hitting hard when possible.
The Spanish side was proving to be a hard team to knock out &
they kept receiving & giving punches.
Then with 1º minute left of the game left, Getafe defender CONTRA
(below) grabbed a lost ball & majestically chipped the goalkeeper &
two German defenders to score a magnificent equalizing goal that left
Bayern knocked out.
Getafe had managed to draw, which felt like a win, plus earn the respect
of Bayern,to take the elimination phase into the 2ºleg were Getafe has the
advantage of the away goal.
Great result, that takes it all down to the 2ºleg at Getafe. Tweet

Awesome match. When Manu's header hit the post my heart almost fell out of my mouth. And Cosmin Contra's chip - what a beauty. Let's hope that Getafe can continue to carry the torch for Spain in UEFA Cup.
