going down & giving Barça tomorrow the chance to close the gap, &
stupid violence showed its ugly head again in the Athletic - Betis game.
Here´s is the full round up.
The above picture is REAL MADRID defender PEPE after scoring
an own goal & giving DEPORTIVO the 1-0 victory. The Deportivo
ground is "nightmare ground" for Real who have´nt won there for
the last 15 years.
The just result would have been a nil all draw as both sides played
without really threatening the goal all night, however luck went
against Real with the unfortunate own goal.
Fc Barcelona has the chance tomorrow to cut the gap back to
5ºpoints if they win.
The REAL BETIS - ATHLETIC DE BILBAO games was going
fine with the latter winning 1-2 after YESTE ( 7th min) &
DAVID LOPEZ (65th min - pictured above) scored Bilbao´s both
goals , while MARK GONZALEZ scored his side goal in the
34th min.
Then in the 70th min the referee suspended the match due to
an object ( small bottle) hitting Bilbao goalkeeper ARMANDO in
the face ( as seen below) & was taken off. Authorities immediately
caught the offender in the crowd & was taken into custody. However,
the game ended prematurely & Betis is sure to receive a big fine in
the next coming days with its stadium to be shut.
Bad news & stupid violence.
RECREATIVO defeated MURCIA 4-2 to send the latter into
deeper trouble. The man of the match was Recreativo forward
PONGOLLE who scored twice ( 18th & 71st min) along with
teammates RUBEN ( 59th min) & MARQUITOS ( 86thmin).
For Murcia the two goals came from DE LUCAS (15th min) &
IVAN ALONSO ( 75th min)
Further bad news for VALENCIA CF who lost 1-2 to SEVILLA
FC with their forward & current Spanish League goalscoring
leader LUIS FABIANO ( pictured below) scoring twice
( 10th & 21st min) to take his overall season tally to 22ºgoals.
Sevilla virtually wrapped the game up in the 1ºst half, while Valencia
played something better in the 2ºhalf & managed a consolation goal
