REAL MADRID NEWS 2008: SIGNNINGS - BAD MANAGEMENT OR JUST INJURIES AND BAD LUCK?

Interesting piece in "Marca" commenting on the list of injuries
that REAL MADRID is experiencing from its new signnings this
year. As we can see below (Robben; Saviola; Pepe; Heinze;
Metzelder & Sneijder), between all these new faces for this season
they have missed 64 games.
Lots of cash invested for so little return!

The most absent is Robben with 12 games, followed by Metzelde &
Heinze, which leads many to ask what criteria or policy does Real
Madrid follow in deciding their signnings. Perhaps SFS is mistaken
following this path
& the answers come from the medical team,
the coaching staff, the coach or the directives who sign without knowledge.
The Spanish paper "Marca" does not go into that type of judgements,
it solely highlights the "unlucky" injuries that happen to fall on the
new signnings. The answers are left for each to ponder.
Whats your thoughts?

And its not just this season. Remember past seasons with Woodgates and etc. Real always seem to sign the most injury prone players on the market

I think its a bit of both because the only injury prone players they bought was Robben and Metzelder which i think was 2 bad signings. should have got Ribery and Mertasacker instead. the rest of the players i think r just unlucky.

Interesting observation Striker...

Hienze has always been injury prone as well as Robben and Metzelder to be fair; but I agree with Zaz it's probably a bit of both the signing policy and bad luck.
I'm sure similar questions are being asked of the Madrid doctors, but perhaps there is something wrong with the way we welcome new players to the team or even the training.

You also have to consider just how many new players we have signed over the last couple of years also. Becsaue the number is high, then there is a greater chance that an injured player may be a new signing.
Drenthe, Higuain, Gago, Nistelrooy, Diarra, Marcelo have not had injury problems when they were signed in recent years.
I didn't know Sneijder was injured - he doesn't strike me as being particulalry injury prone either.

Actually, Higuain was a bit of an injury concern, though usually just mild strains and whatnot. My question, not knowing much about Pepe's pre-madrid career, was he injury-prone when playing for Porto?
