Another exciting weekend of Spanish Football with the Round 7
games played of "La Liga". Great games, plays, goals, with comebacks
& surprises to lift pasions.
Real Madrid still keeps the top spot for another week, however Barça
begins to move up gears & are clipping the heels of Real Madrid.

FC BARCELONA won in a conviencing fashion 3-0 ATLETICO DE
MADRID & demonstrated that Barça is beginning to get its act
together & will be the team to beat in the future. Today they
showed that they are perhaps to "the best team " with a
victory that showed control, patience, dominance , skill & team
work. Atletico did not play badly, they just played against a team that
is finally getting well tuned & has MESSI in outstanding form.

Atletico started well & looked good, until Messi passed the ball into the
centre & goalkeeper Abbiati made a terrible mistake to let DECO score
in the 15th min. Then 4 minutes later a Messi-Ronaldinho-MESSI combination
"knocked-out" Atletico with the 2º & magical goal, to keep Messi on his goal
scoring streek.

The 2ºhalf was all Barcelona with impressive exhibitions from
Abidal, Puyol, Iniesta, Henry & XAVI HERNANDEZ (pictured)
who put in the 3º goal thanks to a pass from Giovanni in the
89th min.
Barça totally shut out Aguero ( who was substituted), Forlan &
the Atletico midfield. The only player showing nerve & will was
REYES who was mysteriously substituted in the 2º half.

Geat win for Barça who will only get better & are beginning to look
absolutely awesome.

Tail enders DEPORTIVO managed to "rock" SEVILLA FC with a
0-1 win, thanks to the 72th min goal by RIKI ( pictured above).
This is another defeat in the local comp. for Sevilla & a clear sign
that things are not going as well as wished. Some self analysis this
week at Sevilla for sure, as today´s result is a worrying sign.

MALLORCA defeated 4-2 GETAFE after the latter was 0-2 ahead
in the 47th min, thanks to SOUSA who scored both goals. Mallorca,
who has a habit of late comings, changed the course of the game with
goals from IBAGAZA ( 53rd min), two from ARANGO ( 70th &
77th min) & RAMIS ( 91st min).
Getafe are without luck & are "stuck" in the bottom part of the ladder,
a place they really don´t deserve.

ATLETIC DE BILBAO drew 1-1 with ALMERIA in a typical game
of strategy, strong play & missed chances. At.Bilbao scored first
thanks to ETXEBERRIA ( pictured) in the 30th min, that was
followed by the equalizer in the 61st min by MELO for Almeria.
A just result.

REAL ZARAGOZA forgot their mid-week Uefa Cup elimination
& turned on the play to defeat LEVANTE 3-0. The goal scorers
were SERGIO ( pictured) & OLIVEIRA who scored twice.
The defeat puts in danger the coaching position for ABEL, as
Levante directives may ask for his head. Stay tuned!

Big game at OSASUNA with end to end stuff & a last period goal
that took the balance away from VILLAREAL to give Osasuna the

victory 3-2.
Villareal started well with ROSSI in the 20th min, & it motivated Osasuna

to quickly equalize in the 21st min via VENTA. Osasuna took control &
scored again in the 34th min with DADY, to see Villareal react &

score the equalizer 2ºmins later with GODIN.
It stayed that way until the 79th min when JAVI GARCIA scored a
"screamer" to grab the lead & the victory for Osasuna. Big win for
Osasuna, grand comeback.

REAL MADRID won another hard fought game without conviencing with
a 2-0 scoreline against RECREATIVO. This victory keeps them at the top
of the ladder, but the question is: for how long?
Once again Real goalkeeper CASILLAS was the best player, highlighting
the tough time that the Real defence went through.
It was once again Dutch forward VAN NISTELROOY who broke

the game & put Real in the lead ( pictured above) in the 72th min, which was
followed by a 91 st min gol by substitute HIGUAIN ( pictured below).
Real Madrid grab the 3 point against a good Recreativo, but do not radiate

confidence with its play. Something is still not right at Real Madrid & it should

be solved soon, because their luck cannot last forever. Effective but just!

MURCIA played REAL BETIS & it finished ain a 0-0 draw.

Last match just finished RACING - VALLADOLID has ended in a
2-0 victory for Racing, with the 2º goals coming in the 53rd min
via SMOLAREK & TCHITE with a header in the 89th min.
