SPANISH FOOTBALL:LA LIGA - ROUND 3_2007 SUNDAY RESULTS

Here is the summary of todays Round 3 results for "La Liga" with its
usual dose of action, surprises & goals.

MURCIA managed to keep at bay ATLETICO DE MADRID with a
well fought 1-1 drew. Atletico seems to not be able to shake off its
historical "bad luck" & still awaits its 1º win for the season.

Atletico started off well with a fabulous goal in the 14th min by
AGUERO (pictured below), but Murcia regained control & calmed
things with more ball control. This was the case until the 80th min when
Murcia player GALLARDO got the prized equalizer. Atletico kept
attacking & were unlucky not to score via Simao who missed two clear
goal
chances.

ESPANYOL managed to finally shake off a stubborn GETAFE & win its
match thanks to the goal by JONATHAN: Result 1-0

Great result for DEPORTIVO DE A CORUÑA who won REAL
BETIS 1-0 thanks to a goal from its Mexican signning (pictured
below) GUARDADO. Much needed victory for Deportivo that will
inject some needed confidence.

MUNITIS ( pictured below) gave RACING DE SANTANDER its
only goal & victory against LEVENTE:
Result 1-0

RECREATIVO visited SEVILLA FC & were steam-rolled by a
inspired, extremely quick & effective side. Sevilla´s new signning
KONE debuted & was outstanding, illustrating that he will give
Sevilla that extra class to take it to the top this season. The game
ended 4-1 with 2 goals from KERZHAKOV (pictured below)
- the 2º a real "cracker" &,

KANOUTE
who was back to this best with the other 2 goals for
his team ( pictured)

Turkish International NIHAT gave VILLAREAL the 3 points in the
82th minute with a great free kick to defeat MALLORCA 1-0 &
keep Villareal travelling nicely in the competition.

Bad result for FC BARCELONA, they drew 0-0 against a discipline &
tight OSASUNA side. Barça missed their chances & Osasuna was unlucky
not to take the game.
The only good news for Barcelona was the debut of their 2 young stars
GIOVANNI ( pictured below with a near miss) & BOJAN who got on the
field in the 76th min.

Sevilla look really good right now - can't wait to see them play Real. I must admit I thought that Sevilla would blow it this sseason and it looks like they could proove me very wrong.

Barca are making a dogs dinner of their opening games - they seem to be going through the galactico phase that Real went through - perhaps too many big players to keep happy?

Sevilla's best signing has been Alves.
They lost Puerta and recovered Alves

Also, I have no doubt Aguero will be an awesome player, I expect he will learn alot from Forlan

I think Sevilla play so well as ateam that even without Alves they would still be a force
