The REAL MADRID vs REAL BETIS reminded me of the unwritten
Football law: if you dont take your chances you´ll end up in defeat.
Real Madrid has won Betis 2-0 to end the mid-week round 5
fixture & remain league leaders
The 1º half saw a determined Betis dominante a "sleepy" Real
Madrid . So laid back was Real Madrid that Betis enjoyed plenty of goal
scoring chances that were not effective. That lack of "killer instinct"
would return to haunt Betis in the later part of the game.
RAUL was again the driver of his team, leading from example
& inspiring Real Madrid to take control in the 2º half. So much
so, that in the 66m Betis defender Rivas fouled Raul & Real Madrid
was awarded a "penalty", a penalty that RAUL took & scored.
Then to finally nail the coffin for Betis, Brazilian international
BAPTISTA ( came on as a sub.) scored the 2º goal from a Diarra
pass in the 84th min, with a fabulous overhead kick.
Other names to mention was an impressive ROBBEN who came
on in the 2º half & was very active - pass to Raul which started the
penalty & a disallowed goal. He connected well with Sneijder
& may highlight the beginning of a strong relationship on the
field to give Real fans plenty of joys in the future.
Conclusion: Big lesson tonight for Betis ( you must take your chances)
who are still to notch a victory & are going through hard times.
Another 3 points for Real although not at its 100% expected peak.

"I have really enjoyed your post, and have read somewhat similar on this post http://www.soccerfairy.com/klose-bags-hat-trick-as-bayern-rout-cottbus.html"
Thanks.
very poor game because we started quite well but let them back into the game and let them grow in confidence. by the end of the first half they were dominating and were simply unlucky not to be ahead.
Watching RM, it's like they are trying to be a goal down into the second half - the same was true last season.
Pleased to see that the subs made a huge difference. Even Sniejder who had been pretty quiet woke up once he was put into the middle of the pitch - he and Robben looked good.
Robinho was pretty average again.
Higuain had his moments - but I am just not convinced about him on the right.
Very happy to see Baptista being successful - he seemed a much better option than Saviola who without the barcelona style of play is looking pretty poor again.
I can't see this team being able to get away with this kind of play for the rest of the season - somone is going to make them pay with a severe defeat. (Perhaps it will be atletico?)
by the way....nice to see the forum attracting big stars like Kaka ;-)
What an honour Evo ... to have Kaka with us at SFS. Cheers
