REAL MADRID played ALMERIA at home & won 3-1 with the
surprise inclusion of Saviola in the starting line-up. Perhaps
coach Schuster had the mid week Champions League match in mind
& gave Van Nistelrooy a rest.
Real played enough to take the 3 points via its individual skill & a
controversial last goal many claimed off -side. However a win is a win
& this should give Real confidence for its future European clash.
The SAVIOLA strategy paid off as he scored Real´s first goal in the
36m, this managed to keep at bay a stubborn Almeria side.
In the 2 half SNEIJNER put the staduim on its feet with a superb
goal from a free-kick that gave more oxigen to his side.
Almeria reacted & pulled one back via UCHE 4 mts later & were on
a roll , until HIGUAIN scored Real´s 3º goal with a brilliant loop shot,

VALENCIA CF won - just - VALLADOLID 2-1 after a poor performance
from Valencia which lead to crowd protests directed to coach Sanchez
Flores even though they won.
Valladolid scored 1º via a goal from KONE in the 10th min. Valencia looked
on the ropes until MORIENTES drew ( pictured above) in the 23rd min.
From here it was hard & Valladolid were out performing Valencia
until SILVA scored the winner in "extremis" at the 89th min.
Tough victory for Valencia.
The last game played tonight was ATLETIC DE BILBAO against
ZARAGOZA which ended in a 1-1 drew. Very difficult & hard fought
match with plenty of warnings by the referee to some extreme tacklings.
At.Bilbao opened the scoring via SUSAETA in the 8th min, & Zaragoza
reacted quickly to draw in the 15th min with a DIEGO MILITO goal.
From then onwards it was a tactical midfield encounter with plenty of
chances for both sides.
