Thanks for this tribute, Striker.
Upsetting to take in this news and the world of football is shocked by this tragedy. The BBC website has a tribute page with nearly 600 comments so far.
I admired the play of Puerta- saw him play often last season and always impressed with his skill and commitment.
My thoughts are with his family and friends.
May he rest in peace.
Big Loss!
Cheers T
poor kid - very sad.
Surprizing doctors didn't pick up on the severity of his condition
Really shocked by this news. When Puerta walked off the field in the game, I thought the worst was over and he was fine. But...
A great lose to the world of football, will be sadly missed, my thoughts are with his wife and family.
