Excellent signing for any team. Though the price is too high. For someone who is a reserve with Brazil. Maicon (Inter) is Dunga´s first choice.
I'd love to see Alves playing for Real Madrid. Basically it will mean that Sergio Ramos moves to the middle. And Real Madrid will benefit from this change of position.
Another consideration: Barcelona is the team that will benefit the most from signing Alves. They'd be filling the gap they have in defence. Zambrotta can play on both sides. Abidal on the left. And Alves on the right. Three excellent players for 2 positions.

He is a great player, but I prefer to see Ramos on the right with a couple of quality centre backs - trouble is do we have the centre backs?

I would rather Madrid not aquire Alves. He's an incredibly talented player, but like evo I'd rather see Ramos at the position. Theoretically Madrid has plenty of talent in the middle, and they apparently lived up to that talent on Saturday at Atletico. It would be dangerous is Alves went to Barcelona, but Madrid has already spent way too much during the offseason, and they should focus on managing the players they have rather than continue spending.
