& ZARAGOZA defender GABRIEL MILITO (pictured below) is closer
to FC BARCELONA after JUVENTUS "threw in the towel" when
Barça & the player came to an agreement last night. The package is
4M€ plus a contract for 4 years.
Barça now travel to Zaragoza to get the clubs OK to formalize
things, however, Zaragoza asks for 18M€ & Barça are willing to
pay 16M€. Surely they will find a compromise along the way.
VALENCIA CF is interested in the services
of Argentine International & OPORTO
player LUCHO GONZALEZ.
The Portugues club place a 20M€ price tag
which is 2M€ short of what Valencia wish to
pay.
OSASUNA wishes to fill the gap left by defender CUELLER who has
gone to GLASGOW RANGERS. It has its eyes set on 27 year old
REAL MADRID player FRANCISCO PAVON who has ended his
contract with Real at the end of last month.
After being in the orbit of REAL MADRID, Polish International
& Liverpool goalkeeper JERZY DUDEK now looks set to sign with
Spanish 1º Division club RECREATIVO DE HUELVA. The 34 year
old player has his heart set on playing in Spanish Football & Recreativo
gives him that opportunity.
Just when everyone thought its was shut, the REAL MADRID &
CHIVU operation has turned ugly. Real & ROMA have agreed to
the 18M€ transfer price, but the player wishes to earn a 5M€/season
"wage" & Real is not willing to pay that amount.
With FC BARCELONA electing Gabi Milito as its wished defender,
it shuts the door on Chivu to keep that option available, thus limiting
his choices to the following: accepting Real Madrid´s terms, staying at
Roma or going to Inter Milan who pay less. Obviously, Roma is interested
in its player taking to highest offer, which is Real Madrid.
