SPANISH FOOTABALL TRANSFER RUMOURS

Spanish daily "Marca" has published a bomb news piece placing it on
their front page. REAL MADRID, it is said, is considering paying the
release clause of FC BARCELONA player & midfielder ANDRES
INIESTA, which is 60M€

Real Madrid are looking for a talented & creative midfield
play maker & INIESTA fits the profile. Question is if there
is any truth to this news, or is it a strategic move to send
signals throughout the market?
Plus, remember, "Marca" is a Madrid paper & maybe "associated"
with Real to stir up its eternal rival.
SFS will keep an eye out on developments

According to "AS", English club PORTSMOUTH has made a
8M€ offer to SEVILLA FC for its Mali forward KANOUTE.
The offer falls short of the price placed by Sevilla which is
12M€.

Unbelievable news regarding Iniesta. Iniesta is a pretty classy player who hasn't fully developed yet, and I gather the Spanish people really love him.

Hmm....unless you count Di Stefano (which was a strange case anyway), won't this be one of the first Spanish players to transfer from Barca to Real? There can't have been very many that have made this move. Sure Figo, but he is Portugese, doesn't count. Any ideas Striker?

Could be true I suppose although I thought Sniejder was at least as good an option and much cheaper.

Evo there have been a few..Laudrup, Schuster...etc plus Spanish players Luis Milla, Nando...etc

oh yeah... you're right

I found quite a long list of players on wiki that have played for both sides, many of them indirect tranfers through another club, but the list is bigger than I thought.

who cares id rather have Samir Nasri. he's a 100000000 times better than Iniesta

Hi Winger,
I dont put much merit in the Iniesta news personally. But for your information, in Spanish Football it makes NO diffrence what a player thinks or wishes. If another club comes along & pays your release clause you go to that club...& that´s that!

Thanks for your comments
Cheers

Zaz,
you are always on about Nasri - are you his agent or something? ;-)

Amazing. Marca publishes another quack rumor and we all start mulling over the details. We all know this is bull, right? Iniesta is not going to Madrid, I'd bet large sums of money on it, and beyond that, I pray that Madrid wouldn't pay Barca's entire spring transfer bill for but 1 skinny midfielder.

That said, I personally think Iniesta is a true quality player, a great playmaker, and sneaky devil as well. And many players have pledged their hearts and souls to a club and then left shortly after (think Figo, and more recently, Henry) so Iniesta's oath means a little bit more than absolutely nothing to me, but not much.

Still, Madrid could do better for less, and hopefully they will. Regaurding Kanoute - even though I'm a die hard Madrid fan, I don't want to see Kanoute leave Spain. I hope he stays.

hi striker
but my question will iniesta be interested!... even if they pay his release clause iniesta has to accept.... he is the heart of barca!... even tho he is eclipsed by other big names
and u kno bout marca and AS... mostly crap!...and its real madrid biased paper!
there is somethin always more than money.its their passion... and for this reason i beleive neither cesc or iniesta wont wear blanco outfit
... but i accept the fact that iniesta is one of the most underrated player @ barca

Hi Winger,
All footballers - 98% - follow their pockets not hearts. Iniesta is in the 98%
