& begin its pre-season. The objective is to participate in the
"INTERTOTO" & thus by winning a place go through to the UEFA
Cup competition.
The Atletico proyect starts without Galletti, Gabi & Fernando Torres.
But the team has incorporated new players to strenghten the side:
Goalkeeper ABBIATI, RAUL GARCIA, CLEBER SANTANA, LUIS
GARCIA & DIEGO COSTA.
Others who will join after their duties with their respective national sides
in the South American Championships & U/20 World competition are star
signning DIEGO FORLAN, PEREA, AGUERO & MARIO SUAREZ.
Lastly, there still exists the possiblity of signning Portugues star QUARESMA,
although that gets complicated daily by the high demands of the player.

Its going to be very interesting to see how Schuster performs next year at Real Madrid especially considering how much importance Calderon is placing on entertaining football!!
