More transfer talk & a BIG weekend of football in the 2º last
round of "La Liga". Due to the closeness in the battle to clinch
the title between Real Madrid, FC Barcelona & Seville, plus the
UEFA position & relegation struggles, the Spanish Federation has
placed 8 games to be played tomorrow all starting at 21.00hrs.
We could see the Spanish League Champion emerge tomorrow
late night!
The Rumanian Captain & ROMA defender CHIVU is in the news
again. Its known that he wishes to leave Roma & he had his eyes
set on INTER with negotiations well advanced. However,
FC BARCELONA has stepped in at the last minute with a "good"
offer & the player has instructed his representative to halt negotiations
with Inter. It seems the Barça offer maybe enough to sway the defender
to take up the opportunity. The headline in todays "Sport" says ( translated)
"Chivu opens the door to FC Barcelona"
ATLETICO DE MADRID & OSASUNA have shut the deal that
allows Osasuna player RAUL GARCIA to play next season with
Atletico. The deal is 12M€ & a contract for 5 years.
Raul Garcia is considered one of Spain´s most talented young
midfielders with huge potential be be a big name in the future.
Can REAL MADRID clinch tomorrow the Spanish League if
they beat ZARAGOZA & BARCELONA lose? Will Barça win
it if they beat ESPANYOL & Real lose? Will SEVILLE FC go top
of the ladder if they win MALLORCA & both Real & Barça lose?
Or will it all go down to the last round next weekend?
Either way you look at it, BIG day tomorrow with 8 matches being
played all at once, with the remaining 2 on Sunday.
Here is the Round 37 Fixture:
Levante - Valencia CF
Mallorca - Seville FC
Zaragoza - Real Madrid
R. Sociedad - Racing
Betis - Osasuna
FC Barcelona - Espanyol
At.Madrid - Celta
Villareal - At.Bilbao
Deportivo - Recreativo ( Sunday)
Getafe - Gimnastic (Sunday)

Real away form has been very good this season. But I'm feeling pessimistic about our chances to win this weekend. Beckham is injured and Zaragoza are a handful.
I expect it will be a great game and Real will make me sweat by conceding goals as they do every week.
Actually, based on our form this season we have lost against the small teams at home rather than in the big games - Maybe I should worry more about next week :)
Well Sergio Garcia and Juanfran are out, not to mention Diogo. I think Madrid can pull this off. Close, but pull it off.
Elisa
Lets hope so
