ATHLETICO DE BILBAO managed to avoid going down to 2º
Division for the 1º time in its more than 100 year history, thanks
to goals from J.SERRANO & GABILONDO that gave the victory to
Bilbao 2-0 over LEVANTE. It was mayhem in "San Mames" with the
crowd celebrating staying next year in "La Liga" ( as pictured).

CELTA DE VIGO played a brave & good match against GETAFE
to take the victory 2- 1 & keep the hope alive of avoiding relegation.
It looked like it would turn into reality, until Betis scored in the other
game & placed the final nail when they scored the 2º to send Celta to
2º Division.

REAL SOCIEDAD had it stiff from the beginning, but went out
against VALENCIA CF clingging onto the slim chance & playing
a great game with a 3-3 . However, all the effort served for nothing
as Bilbao & Betis finished winning their games, thus placing Real
Sociedad into 2º Division.

The last game brought ESPANYOL & DEPORTIVO together to
see the latter win 1-3. However, the notable feature of this
"normal" game was that TAMUDO (pictured above) scored his
teams only goal & thus converting him in the "Highest Goal Scorer
in the History of Espanyol" with 113 goals.
