DE MADRID out of UEFA Cup positions for next season. They
are now 2 points behind Zaragoza & Villareal & with only one
round left of the season.
SFS doubts Zaragoza will lose & Villareal are strong. Therefore,
if things go according to how many think, next weekend will see
Atletico miss Uefa & crown them with a disasterous season.
This will force FERNANDO TORRES to rethink his future,
a player so young & with his talent cannot afford to not
be on the European stage. He risks entering into the "wasted
talent" bracket & that is surely a place that Fernando wishes
to avoid. Plus, think of all the income Torres is lossing by not
being in Europe playing with the likes of Deco, Ronaldinho,
Drogba, Gerrard...etc
LIVERPOOL is very aware if this & of the Torres situation, & according
to "Sport", coach Rafael Benitez has discarded Samuel Eto´o & has
ordered that the club make every effort to get over to Liverpool
Fernando Torres. So much so, that it is commented that there is up to
50M€ on the table to soften the player & Atletico.
So stay tuned for this weekends last round & if Atletico manage to
finally grab that important Uefa Cup position. If not, the doors open
wide for Liverpool & other clubs to throw over hook & bait. The
other gossip is that Villareal forward FORLAN is another candidate,
but Torres is the chosen option.
SFS agrees, that it seems Fernando Torres has out grown
Atletico & he must find greener fields if he is to triumph on the
World Football stage. After witnessing the Celta game, its better
that he find a better & bigger club to illustrate his talent, talent that

Torres is way too talented to not be playing in Europe. As much as I like Atletico it is time for hime to move on. Well Said Striker!

Striker - a question for you: if you live in Madrid and play for Atletico does it rule out a move to Real Madrid because of the local rivalry?
I ask not because I think there is a possibility that Torres will ever move to Real, I don't think he will, but i do wonder why he has never been linked with Real before.
Is there some social reason why this would not be a possible move?
NO real problem at all Evo. However, has Real Madrid made Torres an offer?
If they did, the rivalry is indeed very strong... but its not impossible.
