Its normal , as clubs are positioning themselves for next seasons
signnings.
One of thoses clubs FC BARCELONA is hunting the market &
its main area of interest is the defense. Barça´s "Director of
Football" Txiki Begiristain, will be watching the Roma vs Man
Utd. Champions League match at Rome & taking notes.
Its no secret that Mexes & Chivu have long been on Barça´s
agenda. Their contracts expires next year & if Roma is to get any
cash at all for them, it maybe wise to sell now. Others of interest
are De Rossi & Cristiano Ronaldo, however the latter looks closer to
Real Madrid.
Speaking of defensive players, its been said on TV programme
"El Rondo (TVE)" & daily "Sport" that REAL ZARAGOZA player
CARLOS DIOGO has a deal on the verge of being shut with
Barcelona next season. SFS wishes to wait & see, as apparently the
deal is´nt that smooth, with Real Madrid ( his ex -club) creating some
obstacles.
Another option is GABRIEL MILITO current defender
for Argentina & Real Zaragoza. This rumour has some real
truth behind it as Barça has been following the player for a
long time & has repeatly investigated his "situation". It seems
he is a priority for next season. Stay tuned!
Gossip from overseas, specially from England, puts
Spanish International & VALENCIA CF forward DAVID
VILLA on the CHELSEA agenda. Apparently, all the
Chelsea directives & coach see well the incorporation of the
Spaniard at London.
Valencia plays on Wednesday Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in
their 1º leg Champions League match. A grand performance
by Villa there & Chelsea may put on the table the CASH &
an offer that Valencia cannot refuse.
FERNANDO TORRES is in the news again. He says
he´s not leaving, but we all know that´s just talk for the fans.
Torres agreed not to leave as long as AT.MADRID gave him
guarentees that the team would make an effort to strengthen
itself & get into Europe & win titles.
This is not happening & Atletico has strenghthened itself.
Many feel that Torres is limiting his carreer by stay at Atletico &
needs to play in a "big" team to give him access to European games,
titles & top quality football.

If Atletico does not get into Europe for next season ( finishing
in the top 6 of "La Liga") its very likely that Torres will leave,
& if they do manage the objective, even that is no guarentee.
The clubs knocking are Manchester Utd, Chelsea, AC Milan &
Fc Barcelona.
SFS will keep an eye on developments
Lastly, RONALDINHO seems to have decided to finally stay at
FC BARCELONA. It looks like everything was a smart tactic
manoeuvre from his agent to lift & better his contract & get
more money over to his foundation. The word here is "it seems",
as football is like that, black today & white tomorrow.

Interesting stuff!
I heard that Milito was also linked to Valencia. If this is true, then it means that Valencia are open to the possibility of selling Villa.
If Torres expects to move to another club for a higher salary then he should better his play at ATLETI now. I feel that, for the most part, he has been underperforming. On his good days he can change a game around. On his bad days he can be completely ineffective.
ADDENDUM:
Personally, I would like to see Torres stay, I just want him to have a much more influential role in the squad.
Here Here Lena!
Nice to see you here
Striker
torres should definetly leave. His name isn't heard anywhere if he doesn't go to another club he would be making a big mistake. I'm from madrid and as a spaniard I respect the way he acts and how proud he is of where he is and what he is, but truth is atleti has a long way to go before making it into a champions league and standing in the first spots in la liga. As for Cristiano ronaldo I don't think he'll come to real
