Some fantastic games played today, with lots of great goals.

GIMNASTIC OF TARRAGONA played RECREATIVO DE
HUELVA & it finished in a 1- 1 with goals from local striker &
ex Real Madrid/Florentina player PORTILLO & the equalizer
coming from PONGOLLE.

CELTA DE VIGO needed a win to keep it out of the dangerzone
at the bottom of the ladder & received REAL MADRID who
could not afford any more losses.
VAN NISTELROOY scored first via a penalty & calmed his side
somewhat as they looked nervious under the Celta attacks.

Those attacks gave fruit with an equalizing goal from
ANGEL from a great pass that split the Real defence.

Real was playing badly all game & thanks to goalkeeper
Casillas managed to keep out Celta from scoring more goals.
Then ROBINHO came on in the 2º half & gave some
spark up front managing to score the 2º & winning goal
with his head. Final score 1-2 & 3 vital points for Real.

Grand match at GETAFE who played ZARAGOZA. It looked
like Zaragoza would take the points with 2 goals in the 1º half
(pictured celebrating below), but Getafe fought back
wonderfully to scored 2º goals & equalize. Final scored a 2-2
draw.

Talking of great games the RACING DE SANTANDER vs
ATHLETICO DE BILBAO had 9 goals. It was a vital game for
Bilbao who face the relegation zone & a real chance of going
down for the 1º time in its 100 year history to 2º Division.

ZIGIC scored a HAT-TRICK & more importantly, the final
winning & 5th goal for Santander, giving them the victory 5 - 4

As the below image shows, Bilbao were devasted as their 4
goals was´nt enough & the threat of relegation hangs on their
heads

Speaking of disappointment, ATLETICO DE MADRID missed
another chance at home with a "poor" 1-1 draw against
MALLORCA

FERNANDO TORRES scored 1º with a brilliant chip over the
goalkeeper in the 15mt.

But once again the lack of concentration allowed the opposition to
score via ARANGO who equalized ( pictured below). Heart-
breaking stuff for Atletico fans as their team just lacks that ...

SEVILLE FC drew with OSASUNA away 0-0 & missed
another chance, & allows Barça to win ground in the title
race.
