SPANISH FOOTBALL - "LA LIGA" - ROUND 25 RESULTS

Round 25 of "La Liga" continued & played its remaining
matches today. Yesterday we witnessed the fantastic
game between Seville & FC Barcelona ( see video of goals
on the below post) were Seville grabbed top spot on the
ladder.
One of the follwers at the top REAL MADRID played today
GETAFE were a win was important to keep up with its
rivals on points.

D.GUIZA for Getafe scored first - pictured below celebrating -
& set the nerves in for Real who were without Raul, Diarra,
Cannavaro,Guti & Emerson & a "patched" up side was
attempting to play well.
























Then just before the end of the 1º half , Real was awarded
a penalty after Robinho was fouled in the box. VAN
NISTELROOY stepped up & scored thus drawing 1-1.
























That´s how it ended. The 2ºhalf saw Real try & try but lacked
midfield creativity & up front power. Serious reverse & bad
image that does not stir up confidence. Hope they improve
against Bayern Munich mid-week or it will be goodbye to
Europe for this season

GIMNASTIC DE TARRAGONA gave the surprise with a
0-2 victory over ATHLETIC DE BILBAO. The bottom
placed team scored twice via PORTILLO & PINILLA
(below).

MALLORCA who need the 3 points managed
to defeat LEVANTE 3 - 1 with goals from JANKOVIC,
VICTOR ( pictured below) & ARANGO. Levante managed

to scored a goal thanks to KAPO.

Big game between ESPANYOL & VILLAREAL were the first
wished to keep on its winning run & the latter secure points
to stay out of the relegation zone.
Villareal via FORLAN set his team up scoring the first goal,

as pictured below celebrating with his teammate.

However Espanyol pulled one back via its always
reliable Captain TAMUDO. The end result a 1-1

draw that left a sour taste in both teams mouth.

BETIS grabbed a VITAL victory against DEPORTIVO
& equally took home the important 3 points.
FERNANDO scored & gives his team breathing space at the
bottom of the ladder, a real battle to stay alive.

ZARAGOZA defeated REAL SOCIEDAD 3-2 & manages to
stay in touch at the top of the ladder. DIEGO MILITO

( pictured below) got back into the scoring sheet with a goal,
along with fellow teammates AIMAR & EWERTHON.
For Real Sociedad both HERRERA & DE CERIO tried but it
was not enough, thus leaving them closer to 2º division & the
dreaded relegation area.

RECREATIVO defeated ATLETICO DE MADRID 1-0

with a goal by PONGOLLE ( pictured below) , & further

gives them the title of the "revelation team". Atletico jumps off the
Championship train with another loss of 3 vital points. They are

now "fighting" for UEFA positions. This is real disappointing!
