CHAMPIONS LEAGUE. YING & YANG - THATS SPANISH FOOTBALL!

Spanish Football experienced the good & the bad tonight,
Ying & Yang. The reigning European Champion FC
BARCELONA was eliminated & the other Spanish
representative VALENCIA CF qualified.

However, what FOOTBALL!. Action, excitement,
atmosphere, end to end stuff , guts & passion. Two

games all football fan wishes to see of great teams.
Pity someone had to lose, Football won overall.

It was always going to be tough to score 2 goals at Anfield.
The crowd lifted Liverpool to give them the wings needed
to bring out their best. It was a grand match, two teams
very equalled & determined to reach the objective.
Liverpool gave Barça the ball & the iniciative, attack but beware,
the counter-attack can be as deadly. The 1º half was Liverpool
& the saviour an outstanding VICTOR VALDES, goalkeeper
for Barça that said it all.

But true Champions are Champions for a reason & Barça came
out to leave it all behind & go out dying. Waves & waves of
attacks eventually lead to the 1º goal , thanks to GUDJOHNSON
- pictured - that gave hope to the possiblity of the vital 2º goal.

The waves continued with equally dangerous Liverpool
counter-attacks with more Valdes saves...it was nerve
bitting stuff , end to end football, but the end came &
Liverpool were through, Barça 1-0 victory away was not
enough!

Liverpool deserved the victory, Barça showed all that they
were worthy Champions. Thanks to both for tonight, good
luck Liverpool , bad luck Barça & Football wins overall.

VALENCIA CF was the otherside of the coin. They had done the
hard work at Milan scoring 2 goals away ( Milan scored 2 as well).
INTER MILAN current Italian Serie A leaders with their impressive
run of local wins came out full of pride & with one objective, to win
at all cost.
Another grand match , although with different characteristics, just as
passionante as the Liverpool - Barça game.
Both had chances , both played brilliantly & both hand it in the bag.
But Valencia held out & did their job, which allowed the 0-0 final
result, & qualified them for the next round...Inter said goodbye to
Europe.

The game finished on a sour note with player incidents
straight after the match. Hopefully UEFA won´t hinder the
result , however violence is never justified, see the VIDEO.

Tomorrow the other Spanish team has its turn, REAL MADRID
plays BAYERN MUNICH at Germany which promises to be
another cracker of a match. SFS wishes Real luck in its endevour
to qualify for the next round. Surf into SFS for all the details.
