CHAMPIONS LEAGUE. BARCELONA WINS & VALENCIA LOSES. BOTH QUALIFY FOR THE NEXT ROUNDS

Celebration at "Camp Barça" as FC BARCELONA secured its place
in the next round by defeating German team WERDER BREMEN
2-0.

It was a MUST WIN game for Barça, 95,000 fans packed the stands
& witnessed a superb 1º goal from a RONALDINHO free kick, which
he placed skidding the turf & anticipating the German wall jump - as
pictured below. It was pure class & very very smart.

This shell shocked the Germans & Ronaldinho again played his part
when he grabbed the ball in the midfield & found Guily insight the box,
who controlled superbly to pass to GUDJOHNSEN alone who riffled
the 2º goal - pictured below.

The 2º half saw W.Bremen attempt to equalize but Barça keep it under
control to win & qualify.

The other Spanish team that played tonight was VALENCIA CF away
to ROMA. Valencia was already through to the next round & really had
nothing in play except pride. In the other case, Roma needed to win to

stay in the competition & that need saw a more aggressive Italian side.
The end result was a 1-0 victory to Roma with a goal in the 12´min by
PANUCCI - pictured below.
