SPANISH FOOTBALL. ROUND 5 "LIGA" RESULTS

Another great weekend of Spanish 1º Division football, with the
outstanding game being the Madrid Derby between Real Madrid
& Atletico de Madrid. Thanks to my friend Santiago, I was invited
to attend the "Bernabeu" Staduim & witness a 1 - 1 draw.

The 1º goal came thanks to a great header- pass by Maxi to
MISTA who scored early in the 1º half.
Real Madrid played a shocking 1º half
exhibiting slowness
& lack of creation, until Guti pulled a pass out of nowhere to
have it hit home by RAUL & who scored the equalizer towards
the end of the 1º half; it finished 1-1 & stayed that way until
the end of the match

Raul - pictured -
returned to
score in a derby
& showed
his critics that
he is still
decisive.

However Real Madrid,
were left off the hook
by Atletico in the 2nd

half,when Real
were down with
10 men due to a double
yellow
card to Ramos.

Sergio Aguero came on
& revolutionized the side
& nearly scored at the end.

This raises the question: ¿why does´nt Aguero play from the
beginning? This question is starting to irritate many Atletico
fans.
Conclusion, a draw in which Atletico did not know how to sink
the knife into the opponent.

Other highlights include Villareal´s victory over Mallorca
with 2 goals from FORLAN.

Plus the 2-2 draw at Zaragoza with Levente.

I think Aguirre is keen to bed Aguero in slowly. After all, he's just arrived from Argentina and is very young. Maybe he was worried that the boy would be intimidated by the atmosphere. Personally I think he can handle it just fine and should really be starting.

I think he should play from the start always. he is a true talent & can break the opponent at any moment.
