EUROPEAN CUP QUALIFIERS. GOOD & BAD NEWS

OSASUNA, is still alive & well, after its 1º leg EUROPEAN CUP
qualifying match against German team HAMBURG. The game
finished in a 0-0 draw with Osasuna keeper Ricardo playing a
cracker of a game, to set up an exciting 2º leg in Spain where
the Spanish team could make history, qualifying for the 1º time

in its existence for the Champions League

VALENCIA CF complicated itself in its 1º leg of the European Cup
qualifying match, after losing 0-1 away to SALZBURG. A defensive
error gave Salzburg player PITAK the opportunity to score the winning
goal. Valencia must now win by 2 goals in the return leg at home if it
wishes to participate in this years Champions league.

Lastly, good news for some, bad for others. Brazilian "crack" KAKA
was fielded in Milan´s 1-0 win over Red Star of Belgrade. This is a clear
sign to Real Madrid, that they cannot count on the player if a hypothetical
transfer does occur, in European Cup competition. This act complicates
very much the Real Madrid desire to incorporate Kaka.
