He will inevitably leave, but I suspected it would be next year-- not this one. We'll have to wait and see!

Interesting observation...reasons for this Lena?

I think one of these clubs will make an offer he simply cannot refuse (as the phrase goes).

Anyway, Newcastle, currently, have a lack of strikers with Owen injured and Shearer retired-- I'm not sure if they have enough money to lure Torres.

Spurs is a curious transfer rumor (I haven't heard this one myself). They have Robbie Keane-- but perhaps they will sell Defoe. This would leave a spot for Torres.

It's all unclear at this point.

One more point: right now, though, it seems ManU have the monetary funds to spend. I'm unfamiliar with Inter.

I think Torres would benefit greatly from a move to England, but i can't see him being the striker everyone expects him to be. I still feel he's way overrated and if he goes to Man Utd the world will see how much superior Wayne Rooney is. I'll be happy if i end up being wrong though.

Raulite, I totally agree with you.
Thanks for the valuable comment.
Nice to see you back at SFS.

ManU do need a striker after Ruud leaves...but can Torres fill his shoes? Torres is much similar to Rooney than he is to Ruud and am not sure he is a finisher on par woth Ruud. Anyway, looks like ManU is sticking to Alan smith :(
