SPAIN WORLD CUP TEAM & FOOTBALL TRANSFER NEWS

Plenty of World Cup Squad & Transfer Rumours News today.

Firstly,Spanish Squad coach
Luis Aragones, will give a run to
all the substitutes for the last
match of Group H , against
Saudi Arabia, on Friday at
16.00 (Sp.Time)

The starting lineup could look
like this field diagram, with the
only big question ¿who starts as
goalkeeper - Reina or Canizares?

¿What´s your opinion?¿Any views
on this possible lineup?

The transfer news & gossip, "THE KID", Fernando Torres continues
to take the headlines, but this time, its ATLETICO DE MADRID that
wishes to EXTEND his contract a further year until 2009. Hopefully
this will send a sign that Atletico DOES NOT wish to sell & count on their
Captain. However, this story has´nt finished & anything could happen,
although I see him at Atletico next season.

SAVIOLA is again in the news. Seems
his excellent games for Argentina &
the problems with Zenit player
KERZHAKOV ( his club will not
transfer him ) are making SEVILLE
think twice & may count on the
Argentine for the next season. Saviola
is very happy to stay at Seville &
desires to play there,
thus hopefully
conviencing Seville to extend the loan
from Barcelona FC or negotiate a full
transfer.

DEPORTIVO DE CORUÑA is set to contract ALAVES player Rodolfo
BODIPO of 28 years, for the next 5 - 6 seasons. The price would be
more or less around 2,000,000€.

Finally, Portugues media "O Jogo"
has commented that Portugues
goalkeeper currently at STATUA
OF BUCHAREST, CARLOS
FERNANDES
, is taking with
Spanish team VILLAREAL.

Villareal officials have said that they
are not talking with anyone & count
on their current goalkeepers. But
"O Jogo" is quiet firm in its reports.

We will follow & keep an eye out on
how this story develops.

Sorry to go off-topic Striker, but do you think Francesc has played himself into the first eleven ahead of Senna come the second round and a possible encounter with France? Also, what is the current opinion on this issue in Spain?

Like Messi, he is a player way beyond his age... and the TV football anaylsts in England all agreed that he was the main impetus behind Spain's revival against Tunisia.

For me his composure, awareness, and attacking instinct from CM is at a world class standard.... and I reckon Spain should capitalise on this to the max just as the Gunners did on their journey to the Champs league final.

Difficult to say T.
It all depends on the team & the circumstances. Senna is more a "traditional" midfielder with a great shot, that can keep the ball.
Cesc is more creative & attacking no so focused on defending.

The coach is luck to have both, this gives him ( & Spain) so much more options. Remember T, that Cesc picked up a Yellowcard & that should also play its part.

No doubt Cesc is real talent & must be eased in. He lacks the "complex-tough-pressure" match experience at World Cup level, which is vital if you are to go all the well

Many thx for the questions, real debate starter, that hope other readers can voice their option

Cheers Elite.

Thanks for the answer, Striker... and cool to see it generated some debate in the post above.

It seems to me that Spain can't lose playing either Senna or Fabregas because they are both dependable and talented midfielders who skilfully link up the team. I would favour starting Cesc because I feel he is slightly at a level higher than Senna, but there are also definite merits of saving him as an 'impact' player off the bench.

i don't agree with you t, never the less that has not been the issue for that team. if u ask me, which u didn't i would say that both teams should cross check spain's use of the 4-3-3 strategy that they're coming out with. thats alot of confidence considering they are going against france, as any other team would normally stiffen the defense rather than go for the quickie goal. in my opinion, you sound confused. read up more and your eyes will be opened that Spain will crush France.
