The FERNANDO MORIENTES transfer rumours have lifted
another level, with news from Spanish daily AS, commenting
that negotiations between LIVERPOOL FC & VALENCIA FC
are I full flight.
Originally Liverpool asked for 6,000,000€, in which Valencia
offered 4,000,0000€ plus its Italian forward DI VAIO, currently
on lease at Monaco. But the Italian forward has said NO, &
desires to stay at Monoco.
This has set back Valencia which see the 6million offer as to
high, although both teams are talking to find a solution.
Valencia wishes to shut this deal as soon as possible because
BARCELONA & VILLAREAL CF have now come into the picture.
Talking about VILLAREAL CF, French & Arsenal forward
ROBERT PIRES, has signed for the next 2 seasons. The
Spanish club wishes to make it official within the next
few days.
Although Pires is 32 years old & some many think he may
be a bit on for football, I feel that he can give Villareal plenty
of good things upfront. A very skillfull player, his adaption in
Spain should be quick, as he speaks perfect Spanish, which
will enourmously help him blend in with his new team &
new life.

Morientes is still a good striker. I'd like to see him play for a side that better suits his style.
