This weekend has been good forSpanish Sports. In the Basketball
scene DVK JOVENTUT defeated
Russian team KHIMKI away
63 - 88 , giving the Spanish team
the Euro FIBA Cup &
championship.
Joventut player Rudy Fernandez
was voted MVP of the final.
Maintaining the Spanish flag high was José Maria Olazabal (pictured) &
Miguel Angel Jimenez , who finished
joint 3rd & 11th respectively in the US
MASTERS on Sunday.
The winner was Phil Mickelson who
beat Fred Couples to take the GREEN jacket.
José Maria did the best last round with an
excellent 66 , but it was´nt enough. His
bad 1st day made him pay the price in the
end , keeping him away from top spot.
Either way , it was a great performance
from both players, showing the world that
Spanish Golf is alive & quite healthy
