Spanish Sports paper “AS” highlights in todays edition something that many already know; that Inter Milan Right Back MAICON is a PRIORITY for REAL MADRID. New Coach José Mourinho has commented on Spanish media that he considers Real Madrid player & Spanish International SERGIO RAMOS as a Central Defender & he always works all his teams have 2 players per Right & Left Back positions. Thus with Arbeloa & Marcelo currently with Real, Mourinho wishes Maicon & as posted below Kolarov

Staying with REAL MADRID, the almost now “sensationalist” Spanish Sports daily “Marca” publish with front cover & old rumour that again begins to gain strength. According to the paper the Spanish Club has ideas to lure away from LIVERPOOL FC Captain STEVEN GERRARD. Coach Jose Mourinho enjoys having with him players entering their “twilight” & with lots of experience & he believes he can get some great mileage out of the English International. The operation would be difficult, but the economic problems at Liverpool could open the door.
I am sure that these are just two names of many more that will be appearing in the coming weeks. Summer is ripe for rumours & speculations in the Football World, just as Summer is ideal for the breeding of mosquitoes! Tweet

I hope Gerrard doesn't go, but I've got a feeling he will be tempted. Hopefully Mourinho will move for Lampard instead.

It would really sadden me to seen Stevie G leave Liverpool FC. He'll no longer be a one-club man if he joins another club. I am not sure how Gerrard would fit into Real Madrid's tactical scheme, so I really don't think that Real will sign him. I think that Mourinho would rather sign Frank Lampard instead of Gerrard. I would love to see my favorite player, Michael Ballack, playing for Real as well. He is currently out of contract with Chelsea FC, so it's possible, but unlikely.
Maicón, on the other hand, is a more realistic prospect (not being as old as Ballack). I still think that Philipp Lahm is the best full back in the planet, and I am not sure why Real Madrid isn't after him.
Thanks guys , great input.
Its all speculation at this point...lets wait & see what occurs
......so what ever happened to Franck Ribery???
.Injured all season
.Played with all sides (Chelsea, FCB, M Utd...)
.Minor case in France with court hiring
.New Coach
Risky...things change as in life & Football
Franck Ribéry recently extended his contract with FC Bayern München until 2015. It will now be extremely expensive for any top European club to get him out of that long-term contract. Since di María is close to joining Real, there won't be a space in the left wing for Ribéry. The Frenchman only wanted to go to Spain (with Zinedine Zidane trying to lure him to Madrid) or stay in Germany. The only other Spanish club with a pocket deep enough to finance a Ribéry move is FC Barcelona, and I don't think the Catalans will go for it.
