This is not the first time that this story is posted here or comes in splashed all over the English media screens or Spanish press. The latest fall-out from the LIVERPOOL FC financial disaster is that REAL MADRID CF may get in on a possible “Liverpool FC Garage Sale” & bid for Captain STEVEN GERRARD. As “The Daily Mirror” puts on its online edition (above), Real Madrid could put on the Anfield table 34M€ to help easy the money pains & the worries of Steven Gerrard.
Three years ago Real Madrid made a serious attempt to lure the Englishman away from Liverpool which forced the Club to beef up his contract with an extension & more money. The Spanish Club is reported to have “sounded out” the player’s inner circle to figure what is on the mind of the Liverpool Captain. Gerrard has already said no twice to Chelsea FC due to the “revolution” that would cause within the fan base & thus the option of playing overseas could be a alternative.
I would imagine that before this rumour gets any further that current Liverpool FC Manager / Coach Benitez could propose to Gerrard that he follow him to his new adventure if this finally does occur. Apart from this, I would think that apart from Real Madrid there would be a few big European Clubs that would not mind having Gerrard put on their shirt.Stay tuned! Tweet
