Chelsea FC forward Didier Drogba scored a hat-trick this afternoon in his teams 8-0 victory over Wigan - & Title proclaiming - last season game of the English Premier League to take his seasons tally to 29 goals & become the Premier League Nº1 goal-scorer. With this as a fact, FC BARCELONA player LIONEL MESSI can virtually be considered the winner of the this seasons 2009-2010 EUROPEAN GOLDEN BOOT Award with his current 32 goals & still has a game left of the Spanish League.

Big things need to happen to take the title off Messi next week, like Italian Di Natale scoring 5 goals or Higuaín scoring 6 goals, both which are extremely unlikely to happen when Messi may well add onto his current tally.

Here are the standings with still some European Leagues to finish:

1 L. Messi FC Barcelona 32 goals 64 pts
2 D. Drogba Chelsea FC 29 58 pts
3 A. Di Natale Udinese 28 56 pts
4 G. Higuain Real Madrid 27 54 pts
5 L. Suarez Ajax 35 52.5 pts
6 W. Rooney Manchester United 26 52 pts
7 C. Ronaldo Real Madrid 26 52 pts
8 D. Bent Sunderland 24 48 pts
9 C. Tevez Manchester City 23 46 pts
