CRISTIANO RONALDO & SAVIOLA

Latest update on 2 players & their future.

CRISTIANO RONALDO is being associated daily with
REAL
MADRID
, the rumours & gossip are red hot & as time goes by
it looks like being a reality.
Firstly , its reported the Man Utd. owner Gleezer sees the sale

as great business , a cool 80M€ extra in cash flow. This has put
him in conflict with coach Ferguson who does´nt wish to loss
Ronaldo.
Secondly, the "rumoured" coach of Real Madrid for next season
BERND SCHUSTER has told President Calderon that he has to

"do what it takes" to get Ronaldo to Real, this includes paying the
astronomical price.
Thirdly, it seems that Cristiano is very keen to land in Real, as he has
repeatedly said that its his dream.

Three top reasons to suspect that this case could become a reality!

JAVIER SAVIOLA is up for contract renewal at FC
BARCELONA.
His current club is´nt exactly racing to
renew him, so the player is looking towards is future.
There are 2 clubs in the running to take the player off
Barça´s hands: JUVENTUS & REAL ZARAGOZA.

However, many at Barça believe he should stay. He played an
important role filling in up front in Eto´o´s absence & scored
vital goals.

THE RONALDINHO "AFFAIR" & ROUND 28/2007 "LA LIGA" FIXTURE

The story is growing like a snowball. The rumour that
RONALDINHO maybe on the verge of signning with
AC
MILAN
is gaining strengh.
Here are just 2 front page titles of 2 important Sp. daily

sports papers.

"Marca" publish ( translated +/-) ..." Barça sees Ronaldinho
escape"
. Now you may think that this is a "pro - Madrid"

paper & wishes to stir up Barça a bit.

However, "Mundo Deportivo" , a "pro - Barça" daily puts this
on its front page (translated) ..."Ronnie Stay!·". Its almost
begging the player.

It all could be a business strategy to increase Ronnie´s economic
conditions at Barça, it may also be the beginning of the end of
Ronnie´s period at Barcelona. SFS will keep you updated as the
"Ronaldinho Affair" continues.

"LA LIGA" returns this weekend. Here is the Round 28
Fixture:

Betis - Villareal (Sat.)

R.Sociedad - Levante ( Sat.)
Valencia CF - Espanyol (Sat.)
FC Barcelona - Deportivo (Sat.)
At. Madrid - Mallorca
Getafe - Zaragoza

Nastic - Recreativo
Racing - At. Bilbao
Celta - Real Madrid
Osasuna - Seville FC

CICINHO RECOVERS & DOES´NT MIND BEING PART OF A SWAP DEAL FOR ALVES

Real Madrid´s Brazilian defender CICINHO is recovering
nicely from his knee operation after being side-lined 6 months.
He maybe called up to form part of his team as soon as

this weekend.
However, the young defender has commented that he is still
"a bit scared" with his knee & recognizes that with play & time

he will regain confidence.
Great news for Real the recovery of this talented player.

The other news from Cicinho was his public comment to Sp.
media that he would not mind being part of a swap deal
with fellow Brazilian & Seville FC player DANIEL ALVES.
He adds, that if its good for Real , its good for him as well.
Nice words, very diplomatic & brave.
As we have said here, Alves is on the agenda of Real Madrid for
next season ( along with half of Europe) & it maybe the a
"swap deal" will be needed if his transfer prices gets too high
in the market.

SFS will keep a close eye on developments.

SPAIN vs ICELAND 2007 VIDEO & FC BARCELONA PLAYER MARKET GOSSIP

SFS has located the VIDEO of the only goal scored by
SPAIN in its 1- 0 victory over ICELAND. The scorer
was INIESTA who is progressing into a very fine player.
There is a great set up pass from David Villa to watch.

In the always fluid players market, Olympique of Lyon
has placed a price on its 27 year old defensive winger
ERIC ABIDAL. The price ranges between 20 - 25M€, which

is quiet steep in SFS opinion.

The player has manifested that he wishes to leave at
the end of the season & FC BARCELONA has shown
interest, along with other Italian & English clubs

Speaking of Barcelona there is a real sense of "worry"

with the RONALDINHO affair. See the below post for a
quick resume of events.
The news in Italy of his soon to sign with AC MILAN, has
put the spot light on the player, who has added that he feels
that the club has abandoned him.
Stay tuned, looks like we
may have news here for a while.

SPAIN 1 - ICELAND 0: CLOSE CALL.

It was the type of night Gene Kelly would have loved, rain
& more rain, that eased & eventually stopped in the 2º half.
The water played its part, it was sluggish, with hard to control
the ball conditions.

The whole game was dominanted by Spain with a 67% vs 33% ball
possesion percentage. However , Iceland put all its men in defence
& awaited the counter- attack opportunity.
The Iceland goalkeeper & defence stopped the waves of attacks,
post hitting & close calls until the 81st minute when INIESTA
scored for Spain 1-0 , from a great DAVID VILLA short pass

Apart from Iniesta ( above) & Villa, the other players to
mention were SILVA, XAVI, RAMOS, PUYOL &
ALBELDA.
Tough match, a very close call & normal game for Spain.
However, the objective has been reached & Spain stays alive
to keeping on fighting for a place in next years Euro Cup.
Now thats the good news.

RONALDINHO TO AC MILAN?

Check the title out (translated) ..."Ronaldinho to Milan in
2 weeks". Its the news title of Italian sports paper "Corriere
dello Sport" & it has sent a small shockwave to Barcelona,

seeing that they cite his brother & agent Roberto de Asis

Its no secret that Ronaldinho´s agente/brother has been in
Italy meeting with AC & Inter Milan directives. He has also
said that if his brother had to leave Barça it would be to AC
MILAN

Difficult to believe? A paper selling title? All SFS can say is
that this is gaining momentum & it is growing. Its going to
be one of the mayor stories along with Cristiano
Ronaldo & Kaka. Stay tuned, its going to be exciting!

SPAIN - ICELAND & MORE TRANSFER RUMOURS

Important match tonight at Palma de Mallorca for SPAIN
against ICELAND. A draw or loss here will virtually halt
their progression towards next years Euro Cup.

Here are the possible line-ups according to local press:
SPAIN: Casillas, S.Ramos, Puyol, Marchena, Capdevila, Iniesta,
Albelda, Xavi, Silva, Morientes & D.Villa
ICELAND: Arason, Sigurdsson, Lugimarsson, Steinsson,
Hereidarrson, Gudjonsson, Hallfredsson, Sigurdsson, Vidarsson,

Gudjohsson & Thorvaldsson

Surf into SFS late tonight for all the details.

Rumours & Gossip on the transfer market front.
Italian club JUVENTUS is studying at going after
SEVILLE
FC
forward KANOUTE. Its 1º option Luca Toni is very
difficult & they look towards the Seville forward as the
alternative. The Italians are willing to release 18M€ in order
to convience all parts in the deal , according to Italian press,

plus TREZAGUET!

Other transfer gossip:
ALEXIS - it seems that the young GETAFE defender has
asked his current President to study the Real Madrid offer.
If you remember Valencia CF & Getafe have come to an
agreement for the players transfer, however, Alexis wishes
to go to Real Madrid were there is a verbal agreement between
both.
GABRIEL & DIEGO MILITO - both Zaragoza players &
brothers are on the agenda of FC BARCELONA for next season,
along with Deportivo defender ANDRADE

IKER CASILLAS - A NEW MILESTONE

Real Madrid & Spanish International goalkeeper IKER
CASILLAS
will equal the 68 International caps of legendary
Spanish goalkeeper ARCONADA tomorrow in the important
must win game against ICELAND at Palma de Mallorca.

The 25 year old first dressed the national side jersey the
3rd of June 2000 & since then has consolidated himself
as Spain´s Nº1 keeper.
He now continues onwards with a great possiblity of one
day being able to reach the all time International cap holder
for Spain - ZUBIZARRETA.
SFS wishes to congratulate Casillas & wish him all the luck
for tomorrow night & in the all time games quest.

Check the stats:
Spanish Goal keepers Name , Games/Caps & Period
Andoni Zubizarreta 126 1985-1998
Luis Miguel Arconada 68 1977-1985
Iker Casillas 67 2000- ? ( tomorrow he equals Arconada)
José Ángel Iríbar 49 1964-1976
Ricardo Zamora 46 1920-1936
Santiago Cañizares 45 1993-2006
Antonio Ramallets 35 1950-1961
Ignacio Eizaguirre 18 1945-1952
Miguel Ángel González 18 1975-1978
Carmelo Cedrún 13 1954-1963

CANNAVARO - GREAT SENSE OF HUMOUR OR VISIONARY?

For FABIO CANNAVARO 2005-2006 were the best years
of his professional life.Italian league winner with JUVENTUS,
WORLD CUP 2006 Italian Captain & Champion, France
Football 2006 Golden Ball winner, 2006 FIFA World Player &
a transfer to REAL MADRID. Perfect , right?

Well no. Since joining Real Madrid his performance has
literally been terrible, a total dissolution for fans, directives
& media. Even the Italian recognises that he is not even
close to last seasons form.
This has lead to speculation that Cannavaro will leave
Real Madrid next season ( either via mutual agreement or
unhappily) & that he will return to Italian football.

Asked today by Sp. media about his future, the charming Italian

responded : "... I to Napoles? I have already spoken with them".
( source AS)

Which leads SFS to think, a great sense of humour or a hint of the
future. Any ideas readers?

SPANISH NATIONAL SQUAD & FC BARCELONA UPDATES

SPAIN faces its 2º test of fire this Wednesday, if it wishes
to maintain alive its hopes of Euro Cup 2008 qualification.
It will meet ICELAND at Palma de Mallorca & it must win,
nothing else will do.
To help boost confidence Spain will recover its 2 regular
defenders SERGIO RAMOS & CARLES PUYOL for this
match (pictured below).

In the transfer rumour area, its commented that Boca
Juniors player RODRIGO PALACIOS is headed to
Barcelona for next season. The talk is that he has a
pre-contract with Barça. Remember that this player
was also on Real Madrid´s & Atletico de Madrid´s
agendas.

MOTOGP JEREZ 07 - SPANIARDS FEEL AT HOME

Record crowd for any GP - 138, 200 people - jammed into
the JEREZ ( Spain ) race course to witness all 3 catagories
of the SPANISH MOTO GP.

Spaniards did well in all catagories, but did better in the 250cc
race with going to current World Champ, JORGE LORENZO,
& to last years 125cc World Champ ALVARO BAUTISTA.
( both pictured below on podium)

The 250cc race was a spectacular 3 man battle where
DOVIZIOSO - who finished - gave the crowd a pure
racing spectacle of inter-changing top places.

Finally, Lorenzo managed to shake them off & win his 2º
consecutive GP race.

The big GP catagory saw Italian VALENTINO ROSSI dominate
from start to finish with Spaniard DANI PEDROSA a very good
2º place ahead of American COLIN EDWARDS who was 3º.
Special mention here to Spanish rider TONI ELIAS who had a
fantastic race & finished 4º
(Valentino Rossi crossing the finish line)

SPAIN 2 - DENMARK 1 - THE VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS

Here are all the goals of yesterdays game on VIDEO. Enjoy!

SPAIN 2 - DENMARK 1 - OVER THE 1º HURDLE

SPAIN jumped over the first of its 2 hurdles tonight after
beating 2 -1 DENMARK in front of 85,000 fans. It was a

do or die game, a must win clash that showed the tension
in the air & thinned in the players minds.

Denmark are a tough nut to crack. They started well, only to

lose JENSEN with a red card ( double yellow) in the first
25 mins. Spain took advantage & with a great pass from
Iniesta came the 1º goal of the match scored by Spaniard
MORIENTES -seen below celebrating.

SILVA - below - was great tonight along the wings. Nice touch,
skill & pace , was a real danger all night. Also others worth a mention
was MARCHENA in defence, INISETA in the midfield &
VILLA
up front .

Its was precisely DAVID VILLA that scored the 2º goal for
SPAIN after brilliantly losing his defender & scoring into the
net - seen celebrating below.
It seemed that Spain would come out in the 2ºhalf ready to take
the game by the neck, BUT...

...the Danes are a tough lot, & managed to take the chance in
Spain´s poor concentration phase & scored a header by
GRAVGAARD to pull one back for Denemark .

Then nerves set in for Spain & they become conservative &
defensive. They managed to hold out & archieved the objective:
the 3 points.

Final score Spain 2 ( Morientes , David Villa)
Denmark 1 ( Gravgaard)

Next hurdle - Wednesday in Mallorca - against ICELAND...

SPAIN - DENMARK : POSSIBLE LINE - UPS

Tonight - 22.00 hrs (Sp.Time) - the 1º of two do or die games,
if Spain wishes to qualify for the 2008 Euro Cup, the other
game is scheduled for next Wednesday against Iceland.

SPAIN vs DENMARK meet tonight at the mytical staduim of
Real Madrid, the "Santiago Bernabeu"(see below) tonight in
front of 85,000 fans. A staduim which traditionally brings in the
spirit & magic of historical games & nights.

The Spanish media seem to agree that these will be the most
likely line-ups for tonight:

Spain : Iker Casillas; Ángel, Javi Navarro, Marchena,
Capdevilla; Iniesta, Albelda, Xavi, Silva; Villa & Morientes.
Denmark: Sørensen; Jacobsen, Gravgaard, Agger,
Niclas Jensen; Poulsen, Daniel Jensen; Rommedahl,
Jørgensen, Kahlenberg; & Tomasson.

Anyone brave to predicy the result?

SPAIN vs DENMARK - UPDATE

All the Spanish sports dailys today agree that the current
debate Morientes vs Torres to accompany David Villa upfront
in tomorrows game against DENMARK has been resolved.

It seems that FERNANDO MORIENTES will start, judging by
training set pieces & practice games, that indicate, that it will
be so.
Sports daily "marca" even dare to publish a possible line-up
according to their "experts":

Casillas, Ángel, Javi Navarro, Marchena, Capdevila,
Albelda, Iniesta, Xavi, Silva, Villa & Morientes.

This is how Group F stands, highlighting the must win situation
for Spain against Denmark & Iceland on Wednesday.

GROUP F
1º Sweden 12pts
2º Denmark 7pts
3º Northern Ireland 7pts
4º Letonia 3pts
5º SPAIN 3pts
6º Iceland 3pts
7º Liechtenstein 0pts

SPANISH NATIONAL TEAM. MORIENTES OR TORRES?

(courtesy of "Marca")

No "Liga" this weekend, only the important SPAIN vs
DENMARK clash, a must win affair.

The current debate is, who is going to be DAVID VILLA´s
companion up front: Fernando Morientes or Fernando
Torres.

If we follow statistics Morientes is the leading national
goal scorer in "la liga" with 11 goals, therefore, he should
be from the
start. Plus he is the club teammate of Villa in
Valencia & that should help out in upfront forward
understanding.

However, Torres is younger, a more vertical player with
speed & more willing to try out new things & experiment
in the moments when the game needs something out of the
ordinary.

So who should start?

VALENCIA BEAT REAL MADRID FOR ALEXIS

He is the new defensive promise of Spanish Football &
currently plays for GETAFE, until 30 of June 2007.
ALEXIS, as of the 1st of July , will be a new player for
VALENCIA CF who has ( according to Sp.press) come
to an agreement ( club & player) until 2013 for a price of
6M€, plus Valencia will transfer 2
young promises - Pallardo
& Hernandez - over to Getafe.

This may surprise some, as
of last month, the talk was
that Alexis had verbally agreed
with REAL MADRID.

But Real did´nt count on Getafe,
which angered the latter & saw
this as a sign of disrespect &
arrogance.

Remember you need club permission
& player agreement , not just an OK
from the player.

Another sign of how terrible Real Madrid

is being managed this season. In theory
its a Mijatovic mistake & he should now
be hiding his "red" face with embarrasment.

Big loss for Real Madrid, a great gain for Valencia CF

SCHUSTER NEXT COACH OF REAL MADRID?

BERNARD SCHUSTER, ex-Barcelona, ex-Real Madrid
& ex-Atletico de Madrid, is said (source - "AS") to have
a verbal
agreement with REAL MADRID president, to take over
from Fabio Capello on the 1 st of July.

The German coach,
currently of GETAFE,
is considered by Directives
& fans the ideal man to take
over Real & give the team
a "new" philosophy after this

seasons poor performance.

Schuster was/is considered to
have been one of the finest
midfielders to have played
in European football during his

days as a professional player.

The news also serves to
motivate Capello for the rest
of the season, as his pride would
move him to leave Real Madrid
with at least some prestige & a title:
the Spanish League title.

Here´s a VIDEO of Schuster playing in the Euro Nations Cup Final

with 20 years of age. A real sensation & true "crack".

Any thoughts SFS readers?

ROBERTO CARLOS TO FENERBAHCE?

Been travelling all day today & found this news on my return
home.
Real Madrid´s ROBERTO CARLOS has accepted a 2 year
offer to play for the Turkish ( Istambul ) side, FERNERBAHCE,
according to "AS".
However another paper "Marca" comment that he is currently
only talking & may think about signning. Who´s right?

Independently, there maybe good
reasons for doing so. The Turkish
club wishes to build a "super" club
& already has players like
Kezman ( ex- Atletico ) , Rustu
(ex- Juve) , Brazilian Alex &
Lugano ( ex- Real), plus the coach
is Zico.

However, SFS just does´nt see
him in Turkish football. I have the
maximum respect for the Turkish
game & Fenerbahce, but I just cant
grab the idea of Roberto Carlos

going there.

Perhaps its the money. I´m sure its
the money, but I personally always
imagined that he would play his last
years back in Brazil.
SFS wishes him all the luck in whatever he does or chooses.

*Stats from Sp. daily "Marca"

SPAIN BEGINS ITS CONCENTRATION FOR UPCOMING CRUCIAL EURO GAMES

The SPANISH NATIONAL squad (see below post for full list)
has arrived in Madrid to begin its concentration & training for
the crucial do or die games against DENMARK - on Saturday -
& ICELAND the following Wednesday night.

The national squad will train at "Las Rozas" (Madrid)
all week until they play at Real Madrid´s mytical home ground
the "Bernabeu" against Denmark in front of 85,000 fans
they hope will give the side wings for a victory.
Its a test of fire for Spain, as this game & the following match
on Wednesday the 28th against Iceland are must win clashes
if they are to stay alive in the 2008 Euro Nations Cup Finals.

REAL MADRID EYES DANI ALVES - MORE TRANSFER RUMOURS

Here is the beginning of another ongoing saga, the rumours
on DANIEL ALVES are flying left to right & back again.
This is the cover of Sports daily "marca" today. Basically it
tells us that REAL MADRID will make a serious attempt to
lure the Brazilian & Seville FC player to the "Bernabeu".

The other interesting note is the "small" title above; "...a
perfect partner for Cristiano Ronaldo". Interesting if you
read the blow post were other media place him at Barça.
Just shows how gossip, rumours & interest sells papers,
supply the daily "dosis" for football fans & moves millionaire
sums of money.

The teams that SFS knows about that has this player on their
agenda are Real Madrid, Fc Barcelona, Manchester Utd,
Liverpool FC, Chelsea, AC Milan , Inter Milan...bla, bla, bla.

Along with F.Torres, C.Ronaldo, Robinho...etc, they promise to
keep the newspapers selling in the off - season!

CRISTIANO RONALDO, MORE TRANSFER RUMOURS

The future of Manchester United´s Portugues star CRISTIANO
RONALDO
is taking on "soap opera" dimensions. There is only
one other ongoing saga that equals this , that is the possible
transfer of Atletico de Madrid striker Fernando Torres to Man
Utd.

Here is more on Cristiano, you can believe it or not, but this
was published today in "Sport" the "pro-Barcelona" daily,
who took the news from the website of "Don Balon".
It is said that Ronaldo has a pre-agreement with FC BARCELONA
for next season & that the transfer deal involves to pay him double
what Man Utd pay him now ( 8M€ offered by Barça) plus 75M€ to
his club. Here is the catch; only if Barcelona sell Ronaldinho for the
frightening price of 100M€.
They add, that this is´nt unrealistic seeing that Barça is getting tired
of Ronaldihno´s flirting ( via his brother/agent) with AC Milan.

But lets hold on! The other rumours are that Ronaldo has his heart
set on Real Madrid & that negotiations are well advanced. But on
top of that, Man Utd have counter-offerred with an excellent
contract
with magnificent "conditions".
Who´s correct? Its obvious that the rivalry between Real Madrid &
Barça goes beyond the field , but can anyone of the SFS readers
help give us a clearer picture? Will it be Real Madrid ? Barça ?
Or is it just power-negotiating to lift his contract at Man Utd?

SPANISH FOOTBALL . VIDEO OF REAL MADRID/NASTIC & SEVILLE FC/CELTA PLAYED YESTERDAY

TENNIS. RAFAEL NADAL WINS INDIAN WELLS

SFS is about Spanish Football & Sports , & Spanish Sports
has great news tonight in the Tennis front with the victory
of Nº2 world player RAFAEL NADAL´s victory in the
final of INDIAN WELLS Masters

Spaniard Nadal defeated the young & upcoming talent
NOVAK DJOKOVIC in two straight sets 6 - 2 & 7 - 5.

Nadal seems to be reaching his best form after months of
niggling injuries that were halting his game. His 1º win
for the year will give him confidence for the upcoming
European clay court leg which is his speciality. Good news for
Rafael & excellent sign for Spanish Tennis.

SPANISH FOOTBALL - "LA LIGA" - SUNDAY ROUND 27 06/07 RESULTS

Not so full of goals as yesterdays 4 games , with a lot of
draws this Sunday, however football is football & we are
entering the stage were every point is welcomed &

valuable.

REAL MADRID defeated GINMASTIC 2-0 at home with
goals from ROBINHO ( 55m) & an o.g by David Garcia
( or RAUL depending from the angle).

Ginmastic went down to 10 men in the 1º half & Real Madrid
were playing terribly, not the sort of stuff to give fans confidence
in their strategy to win all their home games in order to give them
a chance at the title.
However, Robinho lifted his side in the 2 half & scored, plus
was the "spirit" of the 2º goal. The objective, in true Capello style,

was achieved, 3 points which takes them back up to 3º place on the
ladder. But their play does´nt convience SFS at all!

Speaking of two teams needing points, VILLAREAL drew with
2º last qualified team REAL SOCIEDAD 1- 1. Brazilian SAVIO
scored for the visitors only to have JOSICO ( above) save his side
with a goal in the 57m.

BARRAGAN
( above ) scored his teams only goal in
DEPORTIVO´s 1- 0 victory over GETAFE

Shocking game by ATLETICO DE MADRID away to
REAL ZARAGOZA who won 1- 0 thanks to a goal by
DIEGO
MILITO
( above). It was vital for Atletico to grab the 3 points
to set them on the road to Europe ( Champions) next season.
However the team is lacking midfield creating players & up
front they are completely lost. Torres is out of all sorts , Galleti
tries hard & Aguero attempts to take the whole team burden on
his young shoulders . Atletico was extremely disappointing!

ESPANYOL & LEVANTE drew 1- 1 .

Important victory for SEVILLE FC 2-0 over CELTA DE VIGO.
The 3 points keeps them up there with Fc Barcelona in the title
race.
KANOUTE ( above) got his team on the goal sheet with the 1º
goal via a penalty & keeps him ahead of all in the Top goal scorer
title - "El Pichichi" with 19 goals. In the 92m Russian KERZHAKOV
scored the final goal for his team.

RESULTS & SCORERS - Round 27
Valencia 0 - Racing 2 (Munitis;Oriol)
Recreativo 0 - Fc Barcelona 4 (Eto´o 2; Zambrotta; Messi)
Mallorca 2 ( Pereyra) - Betis 0
At.Bilbao 0 - Osasuna 3 ( Muñoz;D.Lopez;Izquierdo)
Zaragoza 1 (D.Milito) - At.Madrid 0
Deportivo 1 (Barragan) - Getafe 0

FORMULA 1 GP. ALONSO 2º IN MELBOURNE

The 2007 FORMULA 1 season kicked off in MELBOURNE
Australia with Ferrari & Raikkonen winning the first GP
.

Current 2 time WORLD CHAMPION & Spaniard FERNANDO
ALONSO
finished 2º place along with McClaren teammate
HAMILTON - as pictured.
The Ferrari team has its cars well tuned & have the edge over its
rivals. Raikkonen showed how quick his Ferrari is & the rest will
have to better if they ae to be competitive
Tyres will also play an important role & will also need some studying
by Ferrari´s rivals , specially McClaren.

Its early days, good start for Fernando Alonso & great racing coming
up during the season.

SPANISH FOOTBALL - "LA LIGA" - ROUND 27 SATURDAY MATCH RESULTS

Four matches played today in Round 27 of "La Liga", with plenty
of goals & the surprise: the defeat of Valencia CF at home,
thus letting go a golden chance to consolidate itself further

at the top of the ladder.

RACING travelled to "Mestalla" ( Valencia´s ground) &

went home with a 0- 2 victory over VALENCIA & the
3 points.

Although Valencia started well, the Zigic & Munitis partnership
once again gave fruit. Zigic headed down a cross into MUNITIS

path to score Racing 1º goal ( above both celebrating).

Valencia were out of tune in this match, with missed chances &
non -synchronisation. David Villa´s image below is the picture

of his team, desperation & unlucky.

In the 69th m ORIOL put the final nail in with Racing 2º goal,
as seen below celebrating with his teammates

Missed opportunity for Valencia who may regard this result
later on , great win for Racing who are playing well.

An important bottom of the ladder game between MALLORCA
& REAL BETIS both needed the 3 points , but it was the former
who took them with a 2-0 win over Betis. PEREYRA seen
below opened the scoring & ARANGO finished to put Betis in deep
troubles

All the opposite in the RECREATIVO - FC BARCELONA game
where Barça "steamed rolled" one of the revelation sides this
season.

SAMUEL ETO´O talked with his feet & with goals, instead of with
his mouth & his team appreciated the gesture.

He got Barça onto the score sheet with a beautiful chipped

shot, a real eye catcher.

They were on a roll & in the 38m ZAMBROTTA scored, to have
ETO´O score his 2º four minutes latter.

Towards the end, the "kid" in form, LEO MESSI scored to give
his team a very comfortable win & the 3 points that will put
pressure on Seville tomorrow.

The last game ATHLETICO DE BILBAO - OSASUNA

went the latter´s way with a 0-3 scoreline putting At.Bilbao
under more pressure as it looks down the barrel of the 2º
Division.
