REAL MADRID | GARETH BALE TOLD TO BE MORE "CO-OPERATIVE"

It would be difficult for any player that:
  • did not experience a proper pre-season,
  • has been plagued by niggling injury,
  • signs with a 9-100M€ price tag,
  • does not speak Spanish,
  • does not understand Spanish Culture,
& frankly, everything is new with the added pressure to belong to Real Madrid, the biggest Club in World Football where winning is an obligation. The player is Gareth Bale who has also needed to adapt himself to a squad full of World Class players & to the long shadow of its star Cristiano Ronaldo.

REAL MADRID 2014

Last Wednesday Round 30 defeat to Sevilla FC not only put the Club behind At Madrid 3 points & FC Barcelona 2 points, it also brought out some "tensions" between some Real Madrid players with Bale involved.

The Welshman has been "advised" in the dressing room post-match to be more "co-comparative", said differently, to pass the ball more instead of shooting at goal at every chance. The Sevilla match saw an anxious, & at times egoistic Bale, not pass the ball to other players in much better positions to fire at goal, for example Benzema. Another example was the last minute free-kick that caused a mid mess-up on who was to take it, with Bale finally firing way over the goal & with Cristiano perplexed to say the least.

However, the main attention grabber was when Gareth Bale decided to change boots & leave his team with 10 men. It was during this time that the Sevilla FC goal & winner came as Ratikic took advantage of the space left open by Bale - which forced Central defender Pepe to fill the gap that defender Carvajal left to cover Bale space-  that cost the Club 3 points.

Difficult moments for Bale at Real Madrid that one can say are part of the learning curve. Other mega-signings like FC Barcelona Neymar is going through the same adaptation process & difficulties. Gareth Bale is obviously keen, enthusiastic & wanting to show why Real Madrid showed so much interest. However, when things get tense, everything else gets tense & everyones nerves flower. A good match with a goal or two in Round 31 will put back into the box all these "bad vibes".
