FC Barcelona star Lionel Messi keeps on breaking records. The Argentine passed the Historical Goalscoring Club Record yesterday in his Liga Round 28 match against Osasuna scoring a "Hat-Trick" & surpassing the 369 goals previous held by Paulino Alcantara.
Today Spanish Sports daily based in Barcelona "Sport" has published a good info-graph showing & comparing both players. While we all expect Messi to take the FC Barcelona goalscoring record to new heights, we do see that Paulino Alcantara scored his 369 goals with fewer games than Lionel Messi. This indicates that Alcantara was a fine player & must have been a "scoring machine" during the 10 years ( 1917 - 1927 ) he represented Barça.
Finally another note, Alcantara scored 38 "Hat-Tricks". While Lionel Messi takes all the front covers it is also well that a Barça Football Legend like Paulino Alcantara from nearly 100 years ago comes back & reminds us that he existed & was up there on the same "level" as today's Lionel Messi.
