Three Spanish Football Clubs played tonight Europa League all attempting to progress into the last 16 teams of the tournament. Each had difficult opponents in front of them but all three Clubs managed positive results that keeps them alive in the Europa League competition.
The 1st leg finished in a 1 - 1 draw. Real Betis travelled to the cold weather environment of Russia with an artificial grass turf to play Rubin Kazan. The end result was a 0 - 2 victory to Real Betis which puts them on course with city rival Sevilla FC in their next Europa League game. A high tension match which will serve to lift the pride of Betis which is currently last on the Spanish Liga ladder. The Betis goals came in the 44th min from Nono & a brilliant chip goal from Ruben Castro in the 65th min.
The 1º st leg match ended in a 2 - 2 draw. This time around Sevilla FC managed to win 2-1 Maribor to put them up against fierce City rival Real Betis in their next match. The goals for Sevilla came in the 41st min from Reyes & Gameiro scored the second in the 58th min. Maribor reacted, but too late & managed to score in the 91st min from Vrsic.
The 1º st leg game was won by Valencia CF 0 - 2 away at the Ukraine. Tonight Valencia CF made good that scoreline & the two goal advantage to progress to the next stage of the Europa League tournament after drawing 0 - 0 with Dynamo Kiev. Match with chances for both sides that had its entertaining moments where the only ingredient missing was the goal.
