The news out of England regarding Manchester United veteran Captain & defender Nemanja Vidic that he will leave the Club after 8 years of loyal services has brought waves over to Spanish Football.
The experienced defender has been a constant buzz every summertime in Spain with speculation mounting that he would end up either at Real Madrid or FC Barcelona. The truth is that Vidic has commented that he will leave Manchester United to experience his last "big contract & adventure" & the two mentioned Spanish Football Clubs are perfect candidates.
In fact Barcelona based Spanish Sports paper "Mundo Deportivo" acknowledges a possible FC Barcelona interest with current "scouting" activities from the Club. What makes the player attract is that he would come over without a transfer fee, & a player with the Football experience of Vidic is a prized potential asset. The only concern from an "outsiders" point of view is the age of Vidic, 32 years , which may halt prospecting big Clubs at the final moment.
The possibility exists, although there will be other Clubs like Real Madrid, PSG & big Italian Clubs "smelling the scene". Will need to stay tuned for future developments & see were the Serbian finally ends up next season.
