REAL MADRID THINKING ABOUT JUVENTUS MIDFIELDER PIRLO ?

With two months away from the "Winter Transfer Market" the big European Clubs have analysed their current squads & some have detected weakness that are primarily due to bad pre-season planning. Now is the moment to think about fixing things by reinforcing the team with a loan or a signing player/s.

Real Madrid has some loose ends, or team "problems" to solve urgently. The main & principal one is the forward line, the number nine position, with forward Karim Benzema awfully out of form which is making some think that a "Winter Market" signing of a forward may be imminent to cover the goalscoring deficiency.

REAL MADRID SPECULATION 2013

However, the surprise news comes from England & the paper "Daily Mail" which suggest that Real Madrid may be considering Juventus & Italian International midfielder Pirlo as a possible addition. Not only Real Madrid but also Tottenham Hotspurs may be in the running as his Club Juventus looks to recoup some money from the "aging" ( as fine wine ) player.

While the speculation concerning Real Madrid & Pirlo is not new, especially with the arrival of Carlo Ancelotti, the question is how viable & realistic is this news piece. Beforehand I doubt that Real Madrid will pay - sign - Pirlo in the "Winter Market" or at the end of the season. The Italian has 34 years of age while Real Madrid has Isco, Modric, Illaramendi, Xabi Alonso etc, plus signing Pirlo would publicly acknowledge that selling Ozil was a grave mistake.

The only viable scenario that I see Pirlo ending up in Real Madrid would be a loan, & this I don´t see Juventus saying yes as Pirlo is currently a vital piece for them this season in their squad set-up.

Although Football has lots of turns & unexpected changes, at this stage, I doubt the news from England & about Pirlo with Real Madrid . What I do believe possible however is that Real Madrid may sign a forward - a number nine - in January 2014 if Benzema is not able to lift back into form & score goals. On this front stay tuned!
