MALAGA FC notched up its fourth win in a row with a grand performance & 3 - 1 victory over LEVANTE. Malaga new signing JAVIER SAVIOLA scored his first goal in the 26th min which was later equalized by Levante player MICHEL with a fabulous individual run & power-driver in the 46th min.
Levante looked for the win & left spaces to which Malaga exploited & JOAQUIN scored the in the 58th min & PORTILLO the third in the 93rd min.

VALENCIA CF needed a win & although they put in an average & not pretty match they managed a 2 - 1 victory over CELTA DE VIGO. FEGHOULI put Valencia ahead early in the 3rd min & KROHN-DEHLI equalized for Levante in the 15th min.
Celta had chances & made mistakes & in one of those defensive slips CISSOKHO headed a free in the 50th min that was the winner. Three points for Valencia which was the main objective with pretty Football that could wait for another day.

Lionel Messi started on the bench but came on in the second half in place of Thiago to became the best player for Barça. GETAFE hosted FC BARCELONA & lost 1 - 4 & it could have been more had the wood-work not stopped Thiago & goalkeeper Moya of Getafe kept some more balls out of the back of the net.
ADRIANO got the first for Barça in the 31st min & then MESSI got the second via a penalty in the 74th min & later another in the 78th min. Getafe got a consolation goal that was an own-goal by MASCHERANO & the fourth came for Barça in the 90th min by DAVID VILLA.
FC Barcelona grab top spot of the ladder & already have signalled that they are as strong as last season with all the intentions of going all the way in all competitions.

| Sevilla-Real Madrid |
Not the case with REAL MADRID which lost 1 - 0 to SEVILLA FC & is already 8 points behind Barcelona. The points gap is very significant & some brave observers comment that Real Madrid may have already lost this seasons Liga title. The truth is that Real Madrid played terribly & their ongoing defensive problems at set plays allowed Sevilla to score their only & winning goal via TROCHOWSKI in the 2nd min.
The only Real Madrid player with some danger was Cristiano Ronaldo who was stopped by Sevilla goalie Palop & Modric who came on in the second half & hit the post. Sergio Ramos had a golden opportunity but missed a clear header.
Good match by Sevilla which was serious, intense & very aggressive with Navas a constant threat all game. For Real Madrid Ozil is lost & non-existent, Di Maria loses his head & Marcelo is also out of sync. In a nutshell, Real Madrid have serious problems & a loss to Manchester City in Champions next Tuesday could open up a "can of worms"
