SPANISH FOOTBALL | LIGA ROUND 28 SUNDAY RESULTS

Spanish Football continued today with 5 scheduled Round 28 Liga games. Here are the final results along with all the goalscorers.

Spain Soccer

Real Betis won the "Andalucia" derby 2 - 0 against Granada. Heated encounter with Granada struggling this season and wanting to get enough points to stay clear of the relegation zone. Two red cards seen in this match & Granada unsuccessful in their endeavour to win with the goals from N´Diaye in the 84th min & Ruben Castro in the 94th min giving Betis the victory at home.  

Spanish Football

Eibar was defeated by current Liga leaders FC Barcelona 0 - 4. Although Eibar gave some early fight, Lionel Messi took his team onward to a relative comfortable victory. The Argentine gave goal passes to his companions while scoring himself two goals.

Spain football Liga

Bad result for Real Sporting de Gijon after losing 0 - 2 to Athletic Club Bilbao. The former is dangerously down the bottom part of the Liga ladder, while the latter is on the heels of Sevilla FC currently 5th of the ladder. 

The winning goals came from Beñat in the 26th min & DeMarcos in the 58th min.


Liga Spain Soccer

Real Sociedad will be disappointed after only managing a 1 - 1 draw with bottom of the Liga ladder placed Levante. The goals came through Reyes in the 13th min who put ahead Real Sociedad, while Deyverson equalized in the 23rd min for Levante.


Liga 2016

Valencia CF is not well overall on the field & off the field. The team suffered a 1 - 3 loss to Atletico de Madrid which keeps pace with Liga leaders FC Barcelona. Valencia held out up to the 60th min & then just faded away as Atletico maintained there bulldozer pressure. Atletico Coach Simeone made two changes mid 2º half- Torres & Carrasco - & both players scored. 

To add salt to the Valencia wound defender Santos received a red card late in the match & left his team with 10 men.

Good win by Atletico with local Valencia fans going off home very upset with things at their Club. Goals fell in the following manner:

  • Griezmann 24th min, 0 - 1
  • Cheryshev 28th min, 1 - 1
  • Torres 72nd min, 1 - 2
  • Carrasco 85th min, 1 - 3
