SPANISH FOOTBALL | LIGA ROUND 19 RESULTS SATURDAY GAMES

Spanish Football today with Round 19 Liga action. Here are all the Saturday scheduled games, the final results with all the goalscorers.

Golden Ball winner 2015 - 5 golden ball

FC Barcelona comfortably won Granada 4 - 0 with exhibition Football. After waiting 6 months, "new Barça signings" Arda Turan & Aleix Vidal played their first season Liga match with an excellent performance from both players.

Leo Messi - the almost certain 2015 FIFA Golden Ball winner - gave his habitual exhibition with a HAT-TRICK, with "partner in crime" Neymar scoring the last goal.

The goals fell in the following order:
  • Messi 7th min, 1 - 0
  • Messi 13th min , 2 - 0
  • Messi 57th min , 3 - 0
  • Neymar 82nd min, 4 - 0
Sevilla FC

Sevilla FC managed an important moral boosting 2 - 0 win over Athletic Club Bilbao, but not without some controversy. The local hero was Frenchman Gamiero who scored both goals, one a non-penalty. The goals came in the 23rd & 59th min.

The other bad news for Bilbao is the injury to Raul Garcia who could have knee problems with his ligaments, still needs the final diagnostic.

Liga 2016

Getafe notched up a consecutive victory this time 1 - 0 against Real Betis. The loss by Betis could mean the definite goodbye for their Coach Pepe Mel, difficult it will be for him to survive another week.

The winner came in the 56th min through Alvaro Vazquez.

Real Madrid 2016 Liga

Real Madrid, spurred on by the "Zidane effect", defeated comfortably Deportivo A Coruña 5 - 0. So what was the difference? Hard to nail, but Real Madrid looked more happier in their play & their Football. It looked similar - using the metaphor - like opening the window & allowing fresh air into a room. However will this positive attitude & change last? That´s the million dollar question, we will need see in coming weeks.

In the meantime, better Football seen & some players with less minutes got a run, like Carvajal, Isco, later James Rodriguez & Jese. The main name & player of the match was Gareth Bale who managed a HAT-TRICK - 21, 48 & 62 min - that included two headers. The other two goals scored came from Karim Benzema who opened the scoring in the 14th min & finished with a 92 min goal.

Levante 2 (Deyverson, Morales) - Rayo Vallecano 1 (Pablo Hernandez)
