LA LIGA | SPANISH FOOTBALL ROUND 26 SUNDAY GAMES RESULTS

La Liga has a new leader after todays four Round 26 scheduled matches. Here are all the final results along with all the goalscorers.

La Liga 2015

FC Barcelona defeated Madrid Club Rayo Vallecano 6 - 1 & in doing so takes the Top Spot of  La Liga table with a 1 point advantage over second placed Real Madrid. This same match also allowed Lionel Messi to score another HAT-TRICK & in doing so equals Cristiano Ronaldo with 30 goals this season in La Liga.

Rayo Vallecano held out well the 1ºst half but fell apart in the second, especially after losing a player to a red card causing a penalty for Barça. The home team also went down to 10 men late in the match when Dani Alves caused a penalty & was sent off. However the effects were minimal as Barça had the match well secured at this stage.

  • Messi (penalty) 56th min, 3 - 0
  • Messi 62nd min , 4 - 0
  • Messi 67th min, 5 - 0

  • Luis Suarez 90th min, 6 - 1
As you can see apart from Messi, Luis Suarez also got some action with two goals. Neymar was absent due to a card suspension.

La Liga 2015

Real Sociedad won 1 - 0 RCD Espanyol in a messy match of Football that had one important moment, the Real Sociedad goal. In the 37th min the Real Sociedad defence under pressure from Sergio Canales return the ball to their goalie Casilla. The former made a huge error giving the ball to Sergio Canales who scored. It was the eventual winner!


LA LIGA SOCCER

Another impressive performance from Villarreal which defeated 4 - 1 Celta de Vigo. The home team got better as the match went on & by half time had the match in hand. The second half saw a timid positive reaction from Celta that included a goal but the home team later added to the scoreline & consolidated things. Here are all the goals:

Atletico de Madrid played tonight against Valencia CF with the third place of La Liga table up for grabs. After 90 mins of intense efforts the final result was a 1 - 1 draw. Atletico de Madrid contained Valencia in the 1ºst half with discipline & pressure Football that gave rewards in the 33rd min with Koke scoring. 

However, the efforts of the first 45 min took its toll on the home side as they became more conservative, while Valencia upped their efforts. The equalizer came from a set piece that Atletico goalie Moya failed to clear to have Valencia defender Mustifi get the loose ball to header into the net. Shared points, with the third place still in play between both Clubs in coming weeks.
