Real Madrid managed to shake off a persistent & awkward Deportivo A Coruña winning 2 - 0. The locals had the opportunity to put their disastrous & losing match against At.Madrid last week further into the past & to dilute the "Cristiano Ronaldo Birthday Party" shock waves with a good performance in front of their home crowd. Their game was good & more so with the victory, but Real Madrid are still far from their pre-Christmas tantalizing game, while Cristiano Ronaldo is short from the electrifying player we have all become accustomed.

Deportivo played a good game, & was at their best during the second half which included some good goal opportunities along with a post. It was the individual skills & talents of the Real Madrid players that shook off the dangers from the visitors & sealed the three points. Isco put in another great match & scored a "blinder" in the 23rd min, while Benzema chipped  over the Deportivo goalie from a Ronaldo assist in the 73rd min to put the game in the bag. Earlier Cristiano Ronaldo & Gareth Bale hit the cross-bar frustrating them both in their goal hungry endeavours, not their day.

New Real Madrid Brazilian signing Lucas Silva got a run - 25 mins - & looked "stable", too little time to see what he is made off, but at least smelled some Liga Soccer which should lift his confidence & adaptation with the team.
