SPANISH FOOTBALL LIGA ROUND 21 SATURDAY GAMES RESULTS

Spanish Football Liga today with 4 scheduled games of Round 21. Here are all the final results along with the goalscorers.

Madrid Club Rayo Vallecano hosted Deportivo A Coruña in the Friday night Round 21 opener. Newly signed Borges was the star of Depor scoring both goals - 9th min & 71st min penalty - in his first game. The only goal for Rayo came through Bueno in the 21st min.

Real Madrid played Real Sociedad without Cristiano Ronaldo who is suspended & won comfortably 4 - 1. Although Real Madrid was caught sleeping,  in a first 30 seconds of play corner which Elustondo headed for the opener for Real Madrid, the visitors slowly fizzed out of the game.

Real Madrid reacted quickly & equalized in the 3rd min when James Rodriguez heading a Marcelo pass. Real Madrid gradually took control & Real Sociedad goalie Rulli was increasingly coming under fire. So much so, that he made half a dozen more saves during the match to keep the scoreline away from the scandalous category.

The second goal for Real Madrid came in the 36th min when Sergio Ramos smashed a goalie rebound started by Benzema into the back of the net. The Frenchman then starred in the 2º half scoring in the 51st min & in the 76th min with a beautiful play-shot that is the goal of the day. Must see if you can get access to replay video.

Special mention to Isco - back from injury - who was outstanding & tantalized, Marcelo active all match & James who was dangerous in the forward area.

Atletico de Madrid travelled to Eibar to play in extreme weather & ground conditions to win 1 - 3 . All the damage was done in the first 30 mins with Atletico scoring all three goals in that space of time. Griezmann opened in the 7th min, & Mandzukic scored two more - 23rd & 25th min - goals. The Croatian then looked for his 3rd but Eibar goalie Irureta stopped everything shot at his goal. In fact, Eibar managed a consolation goal in the 89th min through Piovaccari.

Atletico de Madrid will go into next weeks Round 22 Liga game against Real Madrid firing on all pistons.

Elche visited Granada & had a terrible night losing 1 - 0. The visitors finished with 9 men (received two red cards) & had a goal disallowed when it was legitimate. Granada got its only goal & the winner in the 56th min through Jhon Cordoba.  

Celta de Vigo defeated Cordoba 1 - 0 with a wonderful & spectacular goal from Nolito in the 56th min.
