SPANISH FOOTBALL LIGA ROUND 10 SATURDAY FINAL RESULTS

Spanish Football Liga in motion today with Round 10 matches. Here are all the final results with all the goalscorers.

Spanish Football Liga 2014-2015

The Round 10 fixture started on Friday night with the Deportivo A Coruña & Getafe match. Both teams needed the victory but the 3 points went to Getafe with a 1 - 2 final result. Th two goals for Getafe came through Yoda in the 34th min & Lafita in the 45th min. The only Depor goal came from Postinga in the 79th min.

Spanish Football Liga 2014-2015

Granada hosted Real Madrid & were relatively comfortably defeated 0 - 4. Real Madrid could have scored much more but failed in their final finishes, something similar with Granada which had their best chances in the second half but lacked effectiveness.

Real Madrid are on a roll, a sweet period, with everything virtually going their way. Their characteristic quick counter-attacks were today in full fight, along with midfield touch Football & pressure defending. The first goal came in the 2nd min when Benzema found Cristiano Ronaldo who scored. The second was a magical shot from James Rodriguez in the 31st min that surprised everyone. The third came from Benzema in the 53rd min after Ronaldo served with a back heel, with the fourth in the 85th min from James Rodriguez with CR7 again involved.

Special mention to Modric & Kroos who dominanted the midfield & put the rhythm.

Liga 2014-2015

Atletico de Madrid hosted Cordoba & won 4 - 2 in a fairly controlled game that had opposition reaction in the second half with some defensive Atletico relaxing. The "Director of the Orchestra" was Atletico de Madrid midfielder Koke whose pin point crossing guided most of his teams goals.

Atletico managed to open the Cordoba "defensive can" in the 44th min with Griezmann scoring with a defender knock-on. Cordoba came out  fighting in the second half & equalized through a Ghilas corner header in the 52nd min. However, the home side shut the door on Cordoba with a second goal in the 58th min when Griezmann headed home, followed by a third soon after in the 62nd min with a Mandzukic header. Atletico then scored the sealer & their fourth with a Raul Garcia 80th min header. But while At. Madrid relaxed Cordoba got a second goal through Ghilas in the 87th min.

The win by Atletico de Madrid puts pressure on their rivals at the top of the Liga ladder.

Barça - Celta

FC Barcelona lost 0 - 1 at home to Celta de Vigo. Shock result, the second straight defeat in Liga for Barça that will open up further debate about the team, the Coach, Pique being left out, internal issues etc & etc. Added to all this Barça loses its Liga table leader status with close rivals jumping ahead.

Celta was never going to be easy, their solid foundation was built last season under the now Barça Coach Luis Enrique. Spirited, ambitious & with clear Football ideas not only did Celta fend off the countless Barça attacks, but when given a chance capitalised. The winner came from a magical Nolito touch that set up Larrivey to score in the 55th min. From here onwards Barça looked for the equalizer but failed to be effective along with a rock solid Celta goalie Sergio

Good win for Celta which has proved they are not a "flash in the pan". While at Barça reflective times ahead to clear some internal issues, recover some "lost players" (e.g. Messi) & get back on the rails. Lastly, yes, Neymar hit the bar in the first half (along with three other "wood work" hits ) & this could have changed the course of the game had the ball gone in, but it didn't.

Real Sociedad lost at home 0 - 1 to Malaga FC. The locals were not happy & they have reason to not be glad, their team lacks ideas & is ineffective upfront. Added to this if psychologically your not 100% & your fans are on top of you from the sidelines, then things get complicated. Malaga FC got the winner in the 73rd min from a counter-attack that Juamni finshed off.

More Liga Football Round 10 games tomorrow. If Sevilla FC can win Ath.Bilbao tomorrow they will be new Liga leaders.
