Atletico de Madrid closed yesterday their transfers-signings for season 2014-2015. The Club spent this new season 112,1 M€ in signings to reinforce their squad after important players such as Diego Costa, Filipe Luis & Courtois left the Club. Atletico de Madrid has increased their investment in signings this season surpassing the historical 91M€ of season 2011-12.
The last new incorporation to arrive was midfielder Alessio Cerci . The Italian will be presented next Thursday in the VIP room of the "Vicente Calderon Stadium" to media. The overall new Club signings this season are Mario Mandzukic, Antoine Griezmann, Cerci, Oblak, Raul Jiménez, Moya, Siqueira, Gamez & Ansaldi.The most expensive signing was Antoine Griezmann (30 million), with behind him Mario Mandzukic (22M€) & the mentioned Cerci (16M€).
On the other hand Atletico has earned 84M€ in sales. Forward Diego Costa gave the Club a cool 38M€, Filipe Luis 22M€ & Adrián 11M€, three to mention. Another 8 players have gone out on-loan to other Clubs like Guilavogui, Manquillo, Alderweireld, Oliver, Insua, Ruben Perez, Leo Baptistão & Silvio.
Therefore big "bucks" & some significant player changes at At.Madrid which hopes to reconquer the Spanish Liga title & attempt to do once again a good campaign in the Champions League. Ambition & high objectives that puts this historical Spanish Football Club back amongst the local big boys, rivals Real Madrid CF & FC Barcelona.
