SPANISH FOOTBALL - LIGA | ROUND 19 SUNDAY GAMES FINAL RESULTS

Spanish Football action today with 4 matches scheduled of Round 19 Liga. Here are the final scores - results & all the goalscorers.

SPANISH FOOTBALL 2014

Madrid derby between Getafe sitting mid-table & second last placed Rayo Vallecano. The latter needed the three points desperately & managed to win 0 - 1 with a 29th min Bueno goal. Getafe however will be worried after todays game as they have entered into a negative results spiral that will need attention.

SPANISH FOOTBALL 2014

Last table placed Real Betis are in "deep shit" & in a  deep hole that they can't get out off. Today they lost 1 - 2 to Osasuna & with a missed 62nd min penalty from Ruben Castro included. The match was heated as both sides lost a man to red cards ( Betis defender Nono in the 37th min & later Osasuna goalie A.Fernandez in the 59th min ) a situation that favoured the visitors. The goals for Osasuna came in the 2 min with Torres & then an own goal from Figueras in the 57th min. Betis reacted late with a Jorge Molina 80th min goal.

SPANISH FOOTBALL 2014

The main objective for Real Madrid today was to win at all cost & cut back the classification table 5 point gap with FC Barcelona & Atletico de Madrid to 3 points. Real Madrid managed to do so after winning RCD Espanyol 0 - 1 thanks to the 65th min goal from Pepe

Real Madrid dominated most of the match but failed to convert their opportunities. Cristiano Ronaldo had numerous occasions & unusually missed them with bad firing &/or due to the hands of the Espanyol goalkeeper. Cristiano Ronaldo looks anxious, nervous & played individually perhaps with his mind on tomorrows FIFA Golden Ball Award Gala. But he was not the only "out of the groove" player, Benzema was inaccurate & Gareth Bale looked lost. The best players for Real Madrid were Modric, outstanding again, with Pepe who apart from getting the winner was solid in defense.

Espanyol fought all match & did the best they could with their resources. Sergio Sanchez was out due to red card accumulations & he would have been handy tonight. Colombian forward Cordoba was a "pain in the ass" all match for the Real Madrid defence but was not effective enough as he battled mainly alone.

Spanish Liga Soccer 2014

Levante took the points against Malaga FC 1 - 0 with the 19th min goal-header from forward Barral. The quick summary can be best put in the following manner: Malaga had most of the control, while Levante defended. Levante took its chance, while Malaga failed to convert their opportunities.

MONDAY NIGHT ROUND 19 MATCH:
